:confused3 Hi all, For all you experienced DIS's could you advise which days of the week to go to Disney???

...I will be staying on-site (POp Century) ..I received a 20% discount from Disney by e-mail!!:dance3:

No kids GOING just my DD age 25 and myself.....so we will be selective in what we see and don't need to see all the attractions. We are going Oct 17-25. Will being there during Halloween be a factor??.

We can go to Disney Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon Tues
or
Tues Wed Thu Fri Sat

We are splitting our vacation between Universal Studios Hard Rock Hotel and Pop century. If I do Disney first I get the Magical express however if Fri Sat and Sunday are busier days at Universal it shouldn't matter as we will have front of the line privileges.....
Thanks for your help...I don't even know if this is worth discussing but I know many of you are so experienced at this and may think there is a difference.....I have been to Disney twice last time May 2006.

Thanks so much for any input:love:

Maggie

First off, I have no clue about Universal :confused3

However, Disney...okay, Halloween will not affect you much unless you are at Magic Kingdom. It seems to be a bit busier there because of the Halloween party. The big thing is the Food and Wine Festival which begins mid-September and runs through the second weekend in November. This is at EPCOT, and you will find the weekends a tad busier due to the Florida residents showing up for the weekend.

There really are no slower or busier days at Disney. I find all days equal except when you get dangerously close to holiday periods or school vacations. Then the lines tend to drive me insane, and I won't go. So, you should not have a problem in October. The biggest favor you can do yourselves is plot out your most favorite ride which is a must-do in each park before you set out. Go immediately to that attraction and get a fastpass. If you learn to work the fastpass system, you're in good shape and will have a very relaxing time at the parks.

Hi Bensmom, I really appreciate your input....I see you have been to Disney MANY times.....lucky you:)

So looks like your idea of avoiding MK and Epcot on the weekends will work for me and then I may as well take advantage of the Magical Express and start my WDW trip on the Friday:banana:

Thanks again for reply....appreciate it:thumbsup2

I still think you'd be fine at MK and Epcot on the weekends. Just ride your fav rides when you get there...early. Or get your fastpasses early. Do what you want to do. I have hardly ever been discouraged at the parks to ride rides except at Christmas. The only ride that is a MUST DO and fills up early and never slows is Soarin' at Epcot. Of course, there other MUST DO's at Epcot, but Soarin' is typically over an hour wait, so fastpasses are almost a necessity (get over to The Land first thing and get em). The lines at MK that will fill up fast and never seem to die down are Splash Mountain and Space Mountain and Peter Pan's Flight. Even Pirates and Haunted Mansion are not too bad...lines move so it is not painful.

Disboards is an amazing source of information, and you will find people are so nutty about talking Disney, you will always find an answer to your questions!

I would go to US over the weekend to take full advantage of FOTL. While you are at Disney, just utilize the fast passes wisely and you should be fine =) Have a great trip!

Oh, that's right, you are going to US. I forget that there are OTHER themeparks out there :lmao:
