Which days to reserve which parks?

Hi again! I searched posts to try to decide but we are first timers to WDW & just booked our first trip for the full week before Memorial Day May 22nd-May 29th at POP Century. We got 5 day/1 park/day tickets & was thinking we would go to each park for each of the first 4 days but not sure which one to repeat & if there are certain days that are better than others for certain parks? Our park days are Monday-Friday & leaning towards doing HS for the extra day but need input! Our group is 3 adults & 5 kids ages 7,9,11,13 & 15. We love rides but not so much parades or character meets which with Covid works out well for us. TIA for any tips/advice you could give!

If you’re at all interested in Star Wars I would reserve DHS as your 5th day to increase your chances to get a ROTR boarding group. If you end up getting the BG earlier in your trip, you can always change DHS to a different park if you decide to.

I would recomend HS and Epcot early in the trip, since those parks seem to be the most crowded. Save Animal Kingdom for the last day (Friday before Memorial Day).

Will you have park hoppers? If not, you may find you'll want a second day in the MK as it's the park with the most attractions.

That being said, if you really want to ride Rise, you may wish to book 2 DHS days and if you get everything done the first day, consider going to a different park for the second day.

We weren't planning on doing park hoppers as we are first timers & figured we would want at least one full day in each park, but we could upgrade once there if we change our minds right? I'm leaning towards making 2 separate days reservations at HS since it seems that is it filling up the quickest & then if we accomplish everything we were going to do then switch it to MK. Is there a certain day that is best to do MK to try to get as much as possible in? Also somewhat off topic but is there a handy list of rides for each park I could reference somewhere? Trying to wrap my head around all this!@scrappinginontario

We are there 5/16 through 5/21. We are NOT park hopping

We are going the week of Memorial Day— May 30- June 6. I was super stressed trying to figure out park days, and I want to swap some now... but there’s only an option to cancel. I’m scared if I cancel, then I may not get a replacement park day. We have 6 day park hopper tickets. Any advice? Also, we only picked one Epcot day because we figured we could hop there daily (staying at BC). Is this a decent plan?

We are there the same week. Looking at the availability calendar everything is green. I think you can’t make another reservation until you cancel your current reservation.

If Star Wars is a priority for you, then I think that's perfect for you. For us, HS is a half day park, so we like to go to DS the other half of that day.

Definitely a second MK day and maybe a second HS day if you like Star Wars. I always start and end my trip at MK so plan my trip accordingly. EP and HS (and all parts) will be busier on the weekend or Memorial Day. So I did AK on the weekend.

We are not Star Wars fans either... but we haven’t seen Toy Story land or rode Mickey’s Railway yet, so we were thinking those may be worth two days. Thank you for your feedback!!

We will be as early as we can get into the parking lot so I’m hoping we will be able to ride both.

This is almost exactly what we are doing. Except Friday we fly out in the evening and planned to go to MK before we leave.

That should be a good plan. MK might be a little more crowded on Friday, but you go at rope drop you should be able to get a lot done.
