Which day to do Hollywood Studios?

I’m planning my 1st anniversary trip and have gotten a general idea what day to do which park except Hollywood Studios.

We’ll drive up on a Saturday and drive home on Thursday with a four day Florida resident ticket. I want to book a tour for one day or just a rest and relax day so we’ll do a park on Thursday. With the new fast pass set up where we really can only get one should we do Hollywood Studios on this day? I want us to get there as early as possible to ride Star Wars. I don’t think the 6am goes through November? If it does end up opening that early do you think it would still be a good idea to go on a day we will drive home for three hours? The reason I’m thinking of doing it is we’d get on the road sooner and get home. My other thought is putting it in the beginning of our trip since the fast pass advantage would be wasted for this park and we’d do animal kingdom on the last day to get FOP.

I think you're going to have to wait until we see what they do with HS after Oct. If the other attraction opens in Nov, then I can't imagine that they won't still have the 6 a.m. opening.

Still if all you want to do at AK is FoP, then I'd put that on my last day and keep HS near the beginning.

If you have a 3 hour drive home, I would consider making your rest day the Thursday instead. All of the parks have amazing night-time shows that you won't want to miss (Hollywood Studios included) and it seems like a waste of a ticket, to me, to not utilize a full day if you're only in the parks for 4 days. What about making Thursday your day to sleep in, relax by the pool, eat out at Disney Springs, etc. - especially if you have a 3 hour drive ahead of you.

I forgot the other attraction might open then. We are going in the beginning of November so hopefully that'll happen later. I'm not too thrilled with how crazy it'll be, but my husband really loves Star Wars.

I had considered doing something like that, I just feel like we'll want to get on the road if we don't have something actually planned. I'm not a big fan of the Animal Kingdom night time show so I'd be okay with missing that one.

Maybe plan a fun, but late, breakfast that morning to keep you there a little longer and extend the magic. We also used to do Disney Springs on our last morning and would purchase our souvenirs on that day instead of during park days.

A character late breakfast would be fun. I planned to go to Disney Springs on our arrival day do lunch and a movie, so I don't think my husband would want to go there twice in one trip.
