Which day to ditch dinner?

Trying not to overthink this, but we're planning on ditching dinner to relax and swim on a 7 day western cruise. We've not experienced specialty menues (princes&princess, captains gala etc) before, so we well attend the last 4 nights.

Is there a night that is popular to not attend dinner? Meaning, is there a night where there are more people wanting to swim etc?

Or have I with this question crossed over to "yo, get a life, woman" territory?

One thing I love about the Navigator app is that you can see the menus ahead of time. My suggestion would be to check out the menus and see which one appeals the least to you and then skip that night. Have fun and enjoy your relaxing evening!!

good for you. We love to ditch dinner as it is just so time consuming. My sons favorite evenings are when we just get quick service on the pool deck and watch a movie. I hate to even bring it up for fear everyone will do it (like staying aboard during Nassau day)

For our 7 day Westerns, we always go to Remy Thursday night. Mainly because we like to see the 3 major shows and want to have dinner together the first and last evenings. That only leaves Thursday. At least for the Fantasy, not sure about the classic ships.

Adding to Pens Fan's excellent reply, I'd also suggest checking out navigator's already posted online for previous sailings of your cruise. You can get a look at menus and then plan out which meal you may not be interested in, skipping whichever night that falls on in your rotation.

@T1nkerBell Just a note for anyone reading this; they would like for you to call down to let them know you will not be at your assigned dining time in case they are trying to accommodate someone with a request to change in their dining time. Have fun in the pools!!

I like going for the first round of the restaurant rotation as we like the traditional menus, and then usually do one night room service and movies, and one night at Palo toward the end. If you have already done the rotational menus, then yes, the specialty menus are also fun.

Thanks all! Appreciate the answers and feed-back, esp. about pools closing early on Pirate night. I thought that might be the case.
