We are going to Vero beach in late september and want to go the the Magic Kingdom for a day. Sat Sept 27 is open until 10pm with Fireworks at 8, and Monday Sept 29 is open until 7:30pm with Fireworks at 7:45. I'd really like to see the fireworks, but is that going to make the parks more crowded than the other days?? Will a weekend day in September be much worse than a weekday?

My guess is that any Saturday during the school year will more crowded than a Monday. I assume that would be the reason for the park being open until 10:00 on Saturday. I think Monday may be more crowded than the rest of the week days, but less crowded than a Saturday. My vote would go to Monday, if the fireworks are a must-do. We've been in late September a couple of different times (We're doing it again this year!) and the crowd has not been a problem at all. However, we may all be surprised this year with the Fairy Tale Package deal going. Keep your fingers crossed! Have a great time!

:p DW and I were there last Sept. and went on a Saturday, MK was packed, almost as crowded as when we used to go in the summer. We left and went back on Monday and walked on to every ride. No crowds, no waits. I would suggest Monday.:p

I had the same experience as Steve. We went to MK on Saturday last September (we waited until 6 to go, which helped the nerves) and found it pretty much packed. We then went again on Wednesday, and it was a ghost town.
