Well if I'm counting the placement and what I can make out, the 10k is maybe Stitch themed? If so....I'm super excited! Our weekend....so close yet so far away!

The themes are "Celebrate _" -- smiles, joy, imagination, togetherness, achievement, laughter.

I am really liking that so many of the I did it items have changed over to some sort of themed phrase.

Clean sweep for 2026 Disneyland 10K
Totally busted it for the 2024 Halloween 10K

In looking at the pictures, while those could be medal pins, they have been doing 3 pins for each event. Meaning the race pin, the finisher pin, and the medal pin. Those bottom pins could wind up being the race pins although they certainly could be the medals.

Just got a notification that my Spirit Jersey pre-order for the Disneyland Half Weekend was canceled/refunded as the style has changed (this also just happened for the Disney World Marathon Weekend 2026 Spirit Jersey). There are new Spirit Jerseys now available to preorder for both weekends. The new Disneyland one looks nice with stripes on the sleeves although the fleece one that was canceled seemed more unique (although maybe a little strange).

So…we are coming from the east coast for a couple getaway Jan 29-Feb 2 and I just now saw it will be half marathon weekend. Sigh. We will be staying on property at GCH. Just how bad will this weekend be crowd-wise? We usually do mid-June trips to DLR, for comparison. We are not running, and we usually avoid WDW because it gets bonkers on race weekends. Fingers crossed!!!

Also, what time are races done? We really appreciate you guys doing the run, but we would love to work around it.

Races start at 5 am and finish before the parks open, or just about when the parks open on Sunday. Security got SUPER backed up pre-park open on Sunday morning when I did this race weekend in January 2024. To be fair, it was also MLK weekend that year, so there may have been more additional guests because of that, but there were a lot of runners just trying to cut through Downtown Disney to get to the onsite hotels.

Thoughts:

- Not sure how I feel about incorporating the 70th anniversary in ALL of the medals but it looks fine
- Wasn’t initially a fan of the half being themed around Small World, really cute medal though
- Even though the individual race themes are all over the place they did a really good job tying it all together with the anniversary colorway
- I assume at least a couple of these have springs
- CTC looks pretty good

After really checking out the medals yesterday, I think I dig the DL medals more than the WDW MW medals.

I really like the Half medal and the C2C.

I love that we get to see the medals ahead of time. My 10 year old was starting to question why she agreed to do the 10K after her training run on Sunday, but she became so excited when she saw the medal. Gave her a little extra motivation.
Even my 12 year old perked up when he saw them. He'd never admit it, but I know he's thrilled his first runDisney race is Sorcerer Mickey-themed.
