We're going to WDW mid to late August and we always get park hoppers so we spend the morning at one park and the afternoon at another. We're arriving at WDW on a Thursday, and I want to go to MK in the morning on one of the first two days (and Animal Kingdom for the other). The only problem is that Friday morning is the morning EMH for MK, and Saturday is, well Saturday. I don't know which day would be worse. Right now I have MK planned for Friday, and AK planned for Saturday (which is morning EMH for AK). I want to try to avoid crowds as much as possible, so which is better: to keep my original schedule, or make AK Friday morning and MK on Saturday morning?

Just go as you please, and enjoy EVERYTHING about it. Even the crowds. You will be much luckier that day than all the rest of us stuck at home. :)

I would like to know about this too. My dh is tall and is extreemely extreemely annoyed in crowds. To make this trip enjoyable I would like to avoid the crowds as well. We are arriving on a wed. and leaving the Tuesday after so I'm thinking perhaps I should avoid MK on the weekends? What do you think?

If you are a park switcher, hit MK Friday but, make the early entry for sure. Eat lunch early and leave soon after. As you mentioned MK on a Saturday is sooo busy. But, if you get there extra early and hit your most desired rides in the first hour, pull a few FP and have PS for lunch and dinner you will still have a great time!
