which day for MK?

I am currently obsessively planning our trip - the next best thing to actually being there, I guess - and which day do you think would be better crowd-wise for our FIRST day at MK? Saturday (March 13) or Monday (March 15)? I've heard that both days are busy for MK, but I also want to avoid SUnday, which is an EE day, which I've also heard is very crowded. What would you do?
THanks so much for your help! These boards are so awesome! One week from today, I'll be on my way!!!!!

Monday will be better, simply by virtue of the fact that it's not a weekend day. But at the time of year you're going, the crowds will seem virtually the same on either day. They will be a difference of a few thousand, perhaps, but to the normal everyday guest, they won't notice a huge difference.

:earsboy:

Are you taking kids? How old? Have they seen MK before? What are the total dates of your trip? My answer would be relative to all those answers!!! :)

The kids are 11, 10, and 8. We have been to Disneyland twice, but this is our first visit to Disneyworld. We are SO EXCITED!!! I would love your suggestions and advice.

Monday is the busiest day at the MK according to Disney. I think Sat. is runner up, so it may be all the same.

Your best bet is to use a good touring plan. I like the Unofficial Guide's plans. They keep you ahead of the crowds, even on busy days.

Getting to the park before it opens (so you get in the second it does) is also key.

We just saw Disneyland for the first time last summer after 7 trips to WDW. You will be walking around with your mouths wide open and saying "shezaaam" like Gomer Pyle when you see how much more gigantic the World is!

I second buying the Unofficial Guide, (I have about 6 different years' versions) but I also suggest contacting Dreams Unlimited Travel (the company that sponsors these boards.) I've always planned our trips to WDW by myself until this year. Our DU agent, Rob, has been very helpful in coordinating our trip for 5 families. DU will make your PS reservations, plan you a personalized itinerary based on your interests and kids ages, etc. It doesn't cost any extra, and they really know their Disney. Go to www.dreamsunlimited.com You'll love it!

Have a fantastic, magical trip!
