Which Day for Magic Morning? 03/15-03/19 Trip

Hi! We will be at Disneyland March 15-19. I know it will probably be crazy busy- spring break, but I'm still super excited!

How busy will it really be? I'm guessing packed.

Which day should we do Magic Morning? 03/17 Saturday or 03/18 Sunday? Saturday has all the AP's blocked out. Sunday just has select blocked.

I was thinking of doing DCA Saturday, and MM and DL all day Sunday. But would it make more sense to switch that? Would DL be less busy Saturday or Sunday?

Couple other questions-

For WOC, if we get standard FP's, how early do we have to show up to get a decent viewing space?

Do DL or DCA do anything special for St. Patrick's day?

Well it is going to be busy for sure, but probably not as busy as a week later I think.

Which day should we do Magic Morning? 03/17 Saturday or 03/18 Sunday? Saturday has all the AP's blocked out. Sunday just has select blocked.
AP holders don't have MM, so don't be too concerned about that. I would say do MM on whichever day you think would be easiest to get up early and be in line about 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes before MM begins. Either day will be busy, but if you get there early you will have the best shot at a successful MM.

Don't think of each park as separate place to visit on different days. They are so close to each other that it is easy to hop back and forth on the same day. So if one park gets busy, you can hop over to the other, etc.

During a busy time such as when you would be visiting, at least 90 minutes, safer would be two hours.

Do DL or DCA do anything special for St. Patrick's day?
Hmmm...not sure! There will probably be some fun candy/treats. Let us know!

Thank you for the help! I am really excited to get there. This is our 4th trip with my son! He LOVES Disneyland and is so excited. He is 10, but very sweet. He can't wait to see Duffy and the other characters again!

One issue I'm worried about- will they make him order off the adult menus, since he is a "Disney Adult" (per the lady on the priority seating hotline) LOL? He is a very picky, light eater.

I think it is kind of insane to classify a 10 year old as an "adult".

Well, in my experience in traveling with my nieces and nephews, they have no problem if you order a kids meal at regular sit down places even when the kid may be older. For example, my niece is a very picky eater but she is 11, so we order her kids meals at Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans. However, for things like character dining or places that charge per person (like the BBQ place in Frontierland), they will charge the adult price. Yeah, I think it is probably excessive, but that's Disney for you!

Edited to add: you may get more value out of splitting meals, so look into that option as well. You can split a lot of counter service and sit down meals between two grown adults!
