Which dates would you choose?

I want to take my dd 8 to the halloween party which we did two years ago and loved. Looks like my choices are
1. Wed October 8 to either SAt or Sun the 11 or 12 or
2. arrive later in the day on Thursday the 23 and leave on Sun or Monday the 26th or 27?

Which would have fewer crowds? I know Columbus day is the 13 of October, I don't know if that makes the weeked before busy or not?

i actually think both dates you picked would be fine.
the crowds should not be as busy as in summer but it wont be bad.

I'd pick the later set of days based on the fact that several AZ school districts are out for fall break during the earlier choice.

I would probley pick the later aswell just becasue when i went last year i did notice it get a bit bussier over the hoilday weekend... but it was still ok so you could probley do either time

A couple big ones, Scottsdale and Kyrene (and Tempe), are all out the whole week of the 6th. Cave Creek and Mesa have the 9-10th off.
