We have the week of 8/25/13 or the week of 11/3/13 in mind, which would be likely to have lower crowds? Would holiday decorations be up in early November (not sure how soon after Halloween they put up Christmas).

Thanks!!!

11/3 best for crowds. Not sure about the decorations. I have a feeling they'd change over about that time.

Some CA schools don't start until Sept. So August will still have more people.

From what I've read on the boards the week of 11/3 should be less crowded.

They take the halloween decorations down after 10/31 and start putting up some of the Holiday stuff.

*However the weekend of 11/3 may be busy since what some vets on here say is that will probably be the weekend they film the holiday parade.

I can speak from our experience this past August, as we were there Aug 27 - 30th and it was, by far, the lightest we have ever had at DL. Wait times were super managable not even needing fastpasses for BTM, CS or Soarin most of the time. The best part was that they were still running longer hours and there was only one ride down (HM for the Halloween layover). The weather was warm so we could enjoy the pool, all in all, much better bang for our buck as opposed to a previous October trip where the hours were shorter and more rides down for refurbishment. DH and I have already agreed that this time of year is now our new favorite.

Nov 3 is too late for Halloween decorations and too early for holiday decorations. Crowds will be less on weekdays and comparable on weekends.

August will have longer hours, less refurbs, more entertainment, more heat and more crowds.
