Which dates in September

My parents have decided they want to go DLP this year they have not been since 1994

I've offered to play travel agent for them. I have suggested September as it should still be warm but not too busy. Which dates would you suggest? I want to avoid any school holidays in Europe if possible!!!

I'm no expert, but last year we went just at the end of the UK holidays, the 3rd to the 7th, and I don't think the crowds were bad at all. The weather was beautiful, too.

I went a few years back during the first 2 weeks of September, and it was literally empty! Personally I think any time within end of 1st week of Sept will be empty because all the kids have gone back to school. Literally the best time to go!
