I spoke with administration today and she said we are in the system, but it will take until tomorrow morning to update with MS. We are so excited to make our first reservations, but still can't decide which dates.

We have heard the fireworks, etc. are beautiful for the the 4th of July, but that it is REALLY crowded. However, if the week before is going to be just as crowded, I figure we might as well be there for the 4th.

Have you seen a significant increase in crowds or is it just slightly more crowded? Do the special events make up for the crowds?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Here's what the Unofficial Guide predicts for crowds....

all the days you are going are listed as 8, except for July2-3-4, which is listed as a 9. Definitions: 8 is very crowded, waits of 80 minutes at headliners, 45 min. at major attractions. 9 is exceedingly crowded, 100 minutes or more at headliners, 60 minutes at major attractions.

Looks like you would be slightly better off going the earlier week, and not do a park on the last day.

Personal experience: we were there last August in the early part, which is also an 8. It was very hot. It was crowded. But we still had fun. Using fastpass is essential.

dis-happy, could you tell me what 6/12-6/17 say in the Unofficial Guide? I'm hoping for less than an 8!

:jumping1: We usually go to WDW at the end of June. We find MK to be the busiest. The crowds at the other parks are manageable. We purchase the UPH tickets, and have become real good at managing the fast pass system.
It's hot at that time of the year, and it usually rains in the late afternoon. If possible get an early start.
I suggest getting the diner package offered by Member Services to view the Fastasmic show at MGM. This will give you priority seating.
If you want to visit one of the water parks I would suggest getting an early start there also. The good spots fill up quickly that time of year.

Hi chris1gill---

Sorry to say there are all 8's predicted for every day from 6/12-6/17. The week before (6/5-10) has 6's, except for the last 2 days which are 7's. If you can't go earlier, at least you could avoid the parks which are supposed to be most crowded.

6/12: best EP, avoid MK
6/13: best MK, EP, DS avoid AK
6/14: best EP, AK, avoid DS (DS=MGM)
6/15: best MK, avoid EP
6/16: best EP, AK, avoid MK
6/17: best EP, DS avoid AK

This is really a great book! HTH

Thanks for your replies!!!

Looks like it will be busy no matter what....at least we will be in Disney!!!

Thanks Did-happy!!! We can't go that week before, the kids get out of school on the 10th! We are going to follow the recommendations on which parks to go to & which to avoid! Thank you :p
