Just wondering, we went on our first cruise last month and the stops were Nassau and Castaway Cay and are looking foward to a 8/7 night Magic Cruise in 2005..................

I wanted to know which stops had the least "local peddlers" following you, East or West? Or is it everywhere?

Hmm, honestly, I didn't get harrassed by peddlers at any port on EITHER the Eastern or the Western. Nassau is by far the worst for that.

The ports where people have mentioned peddlers are St. Maarten on the Eastern and Cozumel on the Western. I didn't have problems in either place.

I wouldn't worry about it, just pick your cruise based on the ports you want to see and enjoy! :)

The only place where I was ever truly "harrassed" by vendors was on Royal Caribean's private island on our honeymoon 13 years ago. Those local vendors were horrible!

That said, we haven't done the Eastern or the Western with DCL yet.
