I read the rules and hope this is not breaking any. I am looking at 2 crowd level websites...Easy WDW and TouringPlans. They are completely opposite. I'm confused. Going with 2 1/2 yo and 8 mo old so it really does matter. Any suggestions appreciated!!

I've always found Josh's recommendations at EasyWDW to be spot on.

EasyWDW. I compared the 2 sites during one trip, and Easy was more accurate.

I literally posted the same question about an hour ago! I was so confused because the two websites were opposite! LOL

Does this mean touring plans is completely wrong? I'm making plans for our first trip in October based on touring plans. Should I look at the other site and change then? :confused3

Curious how we can really determine who is more accurate? If I go to HS, I cannot really know what it was like at MK. EasyWdw has 10/4 (ToT 10 miler day) as the best park which makes me question that rating since there is an event hence more ppl. I don't know, just a thought.

What I like about easywdw are the descriptions - why the crowd calendar is what it is. Then I can easily adapt it to the way we tour. This means that going to a not recommended park has actually worked out great for us at times - but we knew why it wasn't recommended and worked around that. (For example, Epcot on a Sat of Food and Wine with evening EMH - so obviously a very crowded park. Our plan was just future world. I have never seen Epcot as quiet as it was that morning - as the F&W people were not there anywhere near rope drop. I have found easywdw accurate - but more importantly, the descriptions help tailor it to MY family, not just using a number.

*I've heard that touring plans changes their numbers closer to the time too - I'm not sure how accurate that is, just what I've heard recently. Easywdw only seems to change if something significant changes to the schedule/events.

One feature of touringplans that I really like is the historical crowd numbers. You can see how crowd levels for each day during your stay have been in the past few years. Just make sure the EMH parks/hours are the same. It's also fun to track how crowd levels are tracking now. They also show you what they predicted for each day so you get a feel for how accurate they have been.

I used both for one trip, and Easy WDW did seem to be more accurate. Easy WDW is free too, so if you want to have a look, why not?!

In the distant past (15+ years ago), I used Unofficial Guide, which is where TP originates, and followed that. Back then they just gave historically, Fridays are busy at MK and Sundays are the quietest. In Jan, on an all adult trip, we followed that also, but it was less crowded and he hustled in the morning.

I decided after much searching here to trust my fellow DISers and go with easyWDW because of the kids. I know it will be slower going, because I do not see my son and DIL as "hustle the kids" type people. We are trying to do 4 parks in 3 1/2 days. Not enough time by any stretch, which makes me crazy, but I understand it's all my son can take off. The strategy is only a couple of rides for us, most of the time goes to the kid rides.

Guess I am going to have to learn to tolerate those annoying singing dolls...:rolleyes2
