Which Crowd Calendar Do You Think Is Most Accurate?

Josh (EasyWDW) has a thorough explanation of why it's even more important to follow recommended days during slow times than during busy times. When it's slow, Disney cuts back on shows and hours. That has a greater impact on driving guests to one park over another - making one park busier than the crowd level would seem to suggest and another park slower... If, for instance, you go to MK on a MVMCP night, you'll see much lower crowds than on a night when they're open late and are offering the MSEP. People want to see the parade and feel they're not getting their money's worth to go to a park that closes at 7 pm. But, if you don't care about the parade, go to MK on a party day and hop to another park at 5 pm... you'll be much better off.

Thanks for the tips. We decided not to buy Park Hopper this time as we felt with 8 days we'd pretty much get to do all that we'd like to do at each park. We missed the MSEP last visit so it's definitely on our to see list! The plan is to hit each park (except for AK) twice during our stay.

I'm using a combination of Touring Plans and easywdw for my upcoming trip. I'm probably skewing a little more towards Josh's advice - for example, Touring Plans has Epcot as the best park on a Sunday during Food & Wine, while easywdw has it as one of the worst. To me, it seems logical that Epcot would be extra crowded on weekends during Food & Wine - so on that day we're going with easywdw.

I do like how you can make a personalized touring plan on Touring Plans. That feature seems super helpful especially in trying to manage FP+.

That makes total sense! I've been confused because of the conflicting information. There has to be a point where common sense prevails.

I use both, and my common sense. I know parks with EMH are going to be more crowded, while party days at MK are usually less crowded. I know that Epcot is busier on the weekends when there are festivals. MK tends to be busier on Mondays too as people generally like to start their vacation at MK.... Stuff like that. That's how I plan.

I love the common sense approach that Josh follows. Another one: go to the park that had EMH the night before; chances are resort guests are headed elsewhere that day.
