Which Concierge is Better -- GC or DLH?

I have been to Disneyworld a number of times but haven't been to Disneyland since I was a child. I am taking my daughter for the first time in 2009 and am trying to decide which hotel and if concierge is worth the price.

Has anyone stayed concierge at either the GC or DLH? Was it worth it? How do the two compare? What did you like best?

Both of the hotels had a very informative concierge. I'd say its a toss up and you probably shouldn't base where you stay just on the concierge. In mind for your daughter, I'd say the Disneyland Hotel because they have a great pool for kids & Goofy's Kitchen is at the hotel. Although, GCH is a shorter walk after being done at the parks. That is one of the upsides to the hotel. When I went to GCH I enjoyed it for the architecture and the dark wood. Everything was beautiful in there. If you feel it is worth the money and you don't mind forking up a little more, I'd say go there for you. Its so hard to choose when both hotels are great If you're in a bind though for cash DLH is awesome. Gosh, I'm talking in circles. Hopefully this helps !

I'd only choose dlh over gch if dd is young, if monorail is running more than one vehicle (right now only 1 is in operation and it doesn't always work great) and if it isn't smack in summer (cute pool becomes way overcrowded).

Personally, our family (even the young kids) prefer gch hands down. Can't speak about the concierge, but it felt more themed even if it wasn't Disney characters, felt better built, and the pool was not insanely crowded. It is also an easier walk to the parks and if monorail is working, about the same walk to monorail as it is from DLH to monorail.
