Which character meal?

Hi everyone. My 2 boys (15 and 10) and I are staying at HRH for 3 nights (18/19/20 August). Youngest loves characters and is a big fan of the Minions, so I was thinking about a character meal (we already have several booked for the Disney part of our stay). We are from the UK and flying in on 18th so I think we would be too tired to appreciate a character meal, which I think leaves the following options:
- Friday 19th - superstar breakfast in the park or evening character meal at PBH
- Saturday 20th - at Discovery Cove all day, planning on making the most of the "free" food
- Sunday 20th - breakfast at RPR, but would miss our early entry to the parks, there is no superstar breakfast in the parks on Sundays - heading to Disney mid afternoon
What do you think is the best option? With the superstar breakfast I understand you book online then have to phone up to get a time, what if they don't have any times that you want, can you get a refund? Also how long does this one usually take?

If you are planning on breakfast at RPR on Sunday, they have a character breakfast there every Sunday. This is now cheaper than the in-park Superstar Character breakfast, as the price for that has gone up to $35.99??

Islands allows for the AP discount

I just got back from RPR and we happened to go to breakfast at Islands on Sunday morning, no reservation. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had a character breakfast going on. Our 5 month old got to meet and take pictures with Gru, Kevin the minion, E.B. from Hop and Woody and Winnie Woodpecker! Breakfast was very good, too.
