Which character meal?

Disclaimer- I have never even been to WDW yet but here is the info in my guide book about this.

Supercalifragilistic Character Breakfast - Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice, Mad Hatter

At the Park Fare restaurant

The guide books rates this very well saying the character interaction was excellent as was the 40 item buffet with even extravagent items such as Lobster Benedict and a made to order Omelet station.

This is coming from The Complete Walt Disney World 2008 Guide. HTH

PS: It doesn't say for sure but I believe this is only one credit.

Please tell us more about this one... We have not done it or heard anything about it... Is it one table credit on the plan? What types of foods do they have? Buffet? How was the food? Is it in 1900 Park Fare?

We have done about 95% of the character meals at Disney.. my DD is a total character hound. We went to the Super... breakfast at 1900parkfare On Feb 3 of this year. It was the best character breakfast food wise IMO.
They had EVERYTHING breakfast wise there. They did have an omlete station where the guy would make you whatever kind of omlette you wanted.

The characters were good... well except for the mad hatter for us but I think he was having a bad morning.

This was by far our fav character breakfast!!!
It was 1TS and well worth it.

I am not a big fan of Crystal Palace so this was great for my DD to see Pooh.

The set up is really nice... just like everything at the GF. Top notch service and purty as a button.
It just really depends on which characters you want to see as to what meal you go to.

The character meal our family DID NOT LIKE at all was the Norway Princess dinner. I dont care for the crowds at CP but that is just me... lots of little toddlers running around which is great for some but not what I want with breakfast :lmao:

I didnt care for the castle lunch this time around, but my DD loved the princesses so I guess she was thrilled. The food was so so... but I always tell people that you have to eat in the castle at least once in your life :lmao: to get the full Disney experience.

I agree Chef Mickeys is a good character meal. Crystal Palace is also good because it has Piglet and Pooh etc. :tigger:

Just remember that everyone under 3 foot tall wants to see pooh and piglet too :rotfl: :rotfl:

There is nothing bad with CP food wise....its just that every time we have gone we have been trampled by screaming 3 year olds :rotfl:

If that is your cup of tea or you have a screaming 3 year old than CP might be wonderful for you. If you have older kids or an adult only party, CP might not be the best location for you to eat breakfast. :rotfl2:

I think it largely depends on who her favorite characters are.

We loved the CP breakfast best, but we are also huge Winnie the Pooh fans.

We are going to try this next time... We are alwyas looking for a new experience and this one sounds like a good one... Thanks to all for the information!:goodvibes

We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's last year and loved it. The wave handerchiefs and walk around singing. My granddaughter had a ball. The characters were great. They came around to our table a couple of times for pictures. We enjoyed the food too. We are trying breakfast at the castle this year.

Cape May cafe get's my vote.

Oh, I forgot Cape May for breakfast... They have a wide selection of breakfast foods, great character interaction, with a nice atmosphere!...

If you are using Disney transportation, you will need to take the bus the Hollywood Studios and then the boat (or you can take the long walk) to the Beach Club (easier) OR take the bus to Epcot, go through all of Epcot to the back and out to Beach Club (harder)... If you ahve a car, just take the drive to the beach Club... Cape May is good to go on a morning you are planning to go to either DHS or Epcot.
