I am in the final manic stages (20 sleeps left) and was thinking about booking a character meal - My DS is 12 (with an aversion to princesses)and DD is 10. We have done breakfast at the Poly before but fancy a lunch or a dinner - anyone have any recommendations/advice?

chef mickeys or crystal palace would get my vote both are buffet meals.

Its got to be Crystal Palace!! Yes they do great breakfasts!

Not long to go ey:cool1: 19 sleeps for us so may see you there:thumbsup2 As your children are a little older I would say Chef mickeys or the garden grill.I loved the garden grill at epcot which is in the land.Revolving resturant that features mickey goofy and chip and dale in ther country bumkin out fits. Not tried chef mickeys so doing both the breakfast and dinner this time along with garden grill cinderellas castle resturantasaurus ,hollywood and vine and the ohana(this is supposed to be good-has lilo and stich and a few others-held at the polynesian).:thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1:

For lunch, I would go for Crystal Palace for a day when you are planning to be in the MK - it's lovely to get into the cool aircon and have a great buffet meal.

I love Garden Grill :cloud9: we make sure we eat here everytime. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts since the first time we went. We found this place by mistake on our first trip. Before we sat down we didnt realise it had characters. It was great. The food is not as great, but still love it.

Closely followed by Liberty Tree Inn

We go to Crystal Palace every-time we go to Disney. We love the Pooh Characters and it's a great buffet, Chef Mickeys is also very good. We're trying Garden Grill this time also (making most of DDP). My DD feels too old now for Princesses (at 12!) and we didn't like the breakfast at Cinderella's castle although surroundings etc were great.

Weigh up where you are staying and which park you will be touring before making a decision. You need to allow enough traveling time in your schedule for transport to and from restaurants. Once you know where you'll be it makes things easier to choose where to eat . Remember if you leave a park you may find it much busier to return to than when you left, on busy days the fast pass machines are not always available after around 3 or 4 pm and queues can be very long.

Crystal Palace has my vote. My kids are 18 & 11 but they still enjoyed it. You can't help but be charmed by Tigger & Pooh :thumbsup2

We also loved CP we had lunch there and it was lovely by far the best CM.

We always do Donald Restarauntasauraus in Animal Kingdom on our first morning

2 reasons:

1. You will be awake early due to the time difference...

2. Gets you into the AK an hour before general opening which means you can get on Safari as it opens (& has the advantage that being early morning all the animals are out and active.... if you go during main day they are all sleeping in the heat!!!!!!!!!)

Also food is good!!!!!

Rereading your thread, as you havent booked it and it is so close, you might not get much of a choice, you need to ring asap and be flexible :thumbsup2
