Which Character Meal Would You Choose For.........

twin 4 yr. old boys, 5 yr. old boy, 7 yr. old girl, 3 teen boys, 21 yr. old woman, & a 20 something man?

My extended family is planning a WDW trip in the spring. The twins, 5 yr. old, 7 yr. old, & 20 something man have never been. The younger kids enjoyment will be most important, but I'd like to choose something all of them would enjoy. (We'll also have several older adults, but we won't care which we go to.) Everyone but my immediate family would normally eat CS, but I'm going to try to talk them into at least 1 character meal. To me, character meals are a big part of the WDW experience for 1st timers.

We are goin in 15 days, and we have an ADR at Chef Mickeys there is a 3, 9, 12, 29,30,32,and 33 in the party, great food, and good assortment of characters that go to each table

Ohana's breakfast is great.

With that many kids I'd do 'Ohana breakfast as you won't have to try and manage shuffling around and trying to juggle a plate for every child at the buffet

For that many people, sometime a buffet can be better to satisfy all the eating needs. Sticking with some of the Fab5 characters will make everyone happy. Here's some suggestions for character meals, in priority order...

Chef Mickey - for bfast or dinner, you can't beat the Fab5 at a meal. Festive atmosphere and not too babyish for the teens.

Tusker House - another bfast buffet at AK with Daisy, Donald, Mickey and Goofy in safari attire. Great selection of food and easy going atmosphere.

Cafe May Cafe - large selection of bfast foods, fun festive atmosphere with Minnie, Goofy and Donald in beach attire.

Crystal Palace - we've been for both bfast and lunch, both pretty decent. Just good classic fun with Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet.

Those would be my top 4 suggestions. H&V is good if you like Little Einsteins and Jojo/Goliath. Ohana's was ok but I didn't like the family style foods.

I suggest Crystal palace for the food at lunch or dinner. Pooh characters only. Teen boys may not enjoy them as much as the younger children will.

Chef Mickeys is great for the classic characters.

Of the three we've done, we would go in this order:

Crystal Palace for breakfast
Cafe May for breakfast
Chef Mickey's for breakfast

Chef Mickeys- All the classic characters should appeal to all ages.

Chef Mickey's appears to be the overwhelming choice. It's been years, since we've eaten there. I do remember our DS loving it when he was younger. I was thinking 1900 PF may be a good choice for all ages, but noone mentioned it. It's probably not as much fun for the little ones. I've only eaten at Ohana for dinner. The breakfast sounds interesting though. My immediate family ate breakfast at CP in October & didn't care for it. However, we did enjoy TH. The rest of our party may like CP though. I have 5 sisters (1 deceased), & none of them have the same taste my immediate family does. Obviously, we're the oddballs.

A bit of additional info..... We're commuting from my house. If we do breakfast, it will have to be a late one. I'm sure we can make it work though.

Chef Mickeys!!! Breakfast there is so good. I also love Ohana's, I know you want a character meal but we had dinner there and I think it is a great family restaurant and fun for kids.

Crystal Palace is good for breakfast too.
