We have long been past the time when we would pick out our favorite character breakfast/meal. For food, the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare was by far the best for breakfast. Cape May with Goofy was okay and of course Chef Mickey's was always good for dinner no matter how old you were. We will be going with an 8 year old boy this summer however, (nephew) and I am tempted to do the CRT mad rush to secure breakfast ressies. My DS 17 wouldn't mind eating there either. Is it REALLY, REALLY worth it? Or do you have a character breakfast or meal that you feel is a better value and has more characters that would appeal to an 8 year old boy?

I have boys and we do the Crystal Palace character breakfast with Pooh and friends. It's nice to get into MK in the morning before the park opens and be able to hop on rides right when at 9 a.m. We go to dinner at the Castle, and I'm so happy I don't have to hassle with the Cindy Breakfast mania.

I don't know if this would possibly be in place when you are there this summer, but Disney is doing a special Heroes breakfast on Mother's Day with Buzz, Peter Pan, and some other boy characters. There's a rumor that they might add that breakfast permanantly, but who knows when or where.

How about CP if he likes Pooh and company, Donald's Breakfastaurus at AKL which is a camping & exploring for fossils kind of thing, or Chef Mickey's? They are all buffet's so there is something for everyone instead of pre-plated scrambled eggs, etc at CRT. I think a boy might like one of these better than Princess's. Have a great trip and let us know which one you decide to do and how you liked it.

How is the breakfast food at CP. That's a good idea actually. I was almost leaning towards 1900 Park Fare. Thanks for the replies.

The breakfast food at CP is wonderful. It is a "must do" for us every trip.
I love the breakfast lasagna, which is sort of like bread pudding, with fruit, mmmm, so yummy.
The character interaction is great also.

I really like breakfast at CP and I also love Donald's Breakfastosaurus in AK. We constantly debate which we feel has the better food.

For my guys, both when they were around 8 and now that they're 13 and 15, their favorite character meal has always been Donald's Breakfastosaurus. It's more boy-themed than most of the other character meals.

How was the food?

We were very impressed with the breakfast at CP . However having tried 1900 Park Fare this year I have to admit the food there is even better. I dont want to try any more character breakfasts, having found this one! The kids agree. 1900 Park Fare is their favorite.
We just love the characters, especially the Mad Hatter and Alice. They were such fun. :flower:

I have never tried the character breakfast at CP but we have always loved the food at 1900 Park Fare.

1900 Park Fair definitely has the best food, I think for any meal. I think CP is nice, but I still agree with what you said about Chef Mickey. If you want one with the "fun" atmosphere, that's the one. The castle is nice, but I wonder if he'd prefer the either Chef Mickey or CP better or both would be nice too!!! Never tried Donald's, so can't comment on that one.

Will be doing 1900 Park Fair for the first time this May. CP was a HUGE dissapointment for us (bad food, worse service, etc, etc) and a doubt a 8 year old boy interested. At least not my nephew, my boys are still very little. Donald's was absolutely excellent though. It was my son's favorite. The service was better than most, same with the food.
