OK, here's our dilemna - We are going with DH's entire family, and they've asked us to pretty much plan everything. I have made all the ADRs (based on everybody's votes) but we intentionally saved one for the day we arrive. Now DH wants to surprise everyone by having a character lunch booked for that day. We'll get in around 10am and DMIL wants to start at MK that day. But I do NOT want to do a Pooh character meal. I thought that LTT was character dining for all three meals, now it looks like only dinner? Garden Grill looked good (DD loves Chip and Dale and DN loves Mickey so we should be set there!).

We already have CM for breakfast for DN and his family, and then Akershus for DD and our family. So those are definitely out. Any ideas????

Oh, it is 6 adults, and the kids are 2 boys ages 4 and 8 months and a girl age 7.

Thanx!

Will you be arriving at MK at 10? Or did you mean you will be arriving at your hotel at 10? Also, where are you staying? You may be able to catch one of the late breakfast seatings and call it "brunch".............:ccat:

Oh, good call! We are driving in from Jacksonville (lucky us, our house is the stopping point for everyone on their way in!!! ) so if we leave by 6am, we are at our resort by 9am and then on a bus by 9:20 or so - it would be tight, but I suppose we could make a late breakfast.

What is the latest time for a breakfast ADR and where would y'all recommend???

If you can make it on time, I would recommend "brunch" at O'Hana. It is right on the monorail (or awesome boat ride :) )from the MK. That is our favorite way to start our MK day. You'll have to verify the latest seating times. I think we have done 10:30...........

Good luck! :ccat:

Chef Mickey's or 'Ohanas would be great if you plan to go to MK afterwards.
If you decide on a lunch, the Garden Grill gets my vote. The food is good and the character interaction is some of the best we've had at WDW.
FYI: I've been to all of the above.

Another potential around MK is 1900 Park Fare at the GF. Last seating for breakfast is probably 10:30ish.

Pooh is there (usually with Tigger). But it's not just Pooh - other regulars are the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins.

True that there are not characters at the LTT for lunch... Only dinner.

We really enjoyed lunch at the Garden Grill.... Character interaction was excellent, kids enjoyed the make-your-own cupcake, the family-style dining was a nice change from the buffets, and the food was good.... Many people on the boards but we did.

where are you staying? if you will be in the epcot area, perhaps the Cape May Cafe breakfast?

otherwise, if it has to be lunch, i'd go w/either crystal palace (and deal w/pooh! LOL!) or garden grill, but that changes your touring plans for the day...

Hi there! I've heard LOTS of people either loving or not so much Garden Grill. I think the characters are great there, but you either like their menu or you don't. Looks like Disney would do more Char lunches, doesn't it?

I'd imagine getting in at 10 it might be hard to check in and then get to any of the MK area character breakfasts by the last seating unless you are already in that area.

How about Cinderella's Royal Table ? They have lunch from 12-3 though it is very hard to get an ADR.
