was wondering what character dining experience has the most character interaction I am thinking garden grill, crystal palace or liberty tree

Let me be the first to welcome you to The Dis! You will love it here- there's so much information you can get.
First- character dining-
My experience has been great character interaction at all the character meals I've attended except CP. So- I'd say choose which characters you think your nephew would enjoy most- and get a ps there.

there are several different fireworks cruises you can choose from- they book 90 days out- and fill up quick! If you go here

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=560160

you can get info on the Illuminations boat tours.

There is also one for the MK Wishes fireworks- but I am unsure of the details on this. You can call 1-407-wdw-play (407-939-7529) to get info on all specialty cruises.

Good luck!

Of the places you listed, I would vote Garden Grille, simply because it seemed the characters had all the time in the world for us there! PLus, you get the "staple" Disney characters (Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale). It is also neat because it "rotates" through the "The Land" ride scenery -- my 9 yr old son thinks that's way cool. That said, Chef Mickey's was also enjoyed by our party and we had great character interaction there as well. It is a much more boisterous type place however.... would your nephew think it was fun to twirl his napkin over his head, or totally dorky?

As for CP -- well, is he more into Pooh or Mickey? If Pooh and/or his friends are more his style, then CP would be the place.

Liberty Tree is also good -- but if I were going to WDW to celebrate a birthday, gee -- I guess I would just feel like ol' Mick himself would need to be there! At LTT, I think it's Minnie with Chip, Dale and maybe Meeko?

I'd have to recommend either the Crystal Palace or the Garden Grill.

thanks for all the info I think we are going to opt for the garden grill as thats the first park we are going to and will be the day after his birthday
thanks everyone I am enjoying all the useful info on all of these boards, my husband keeps laughing at me for doing all of this so far in advance!!!!!!!!!
thanks haze

For a boy I highly reccomend the Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK. The dinosaur dig/scout theming is perfect for the boys and it is all boy characters.... Mickey Donald, Goofy, Pluto
