Which character breakfast?

I'm wondering which character breakfast people would recommend the most. Our daughter's will be 8 and 2 and our son will be 5. Our oldest wants to do the Princess breakfast, but I don't think our son would really be interested. What about the one's with the Pooh characters? How many characters usually are there. I was also thinking of the Donald breakfast at AK but what other characters are usually there? Are there any that Mickey shows up to? My husband and I would also like decent food!

Thanks!!:)

My vote is for Donalds!
The characters are Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.
The food selection we thought was great-eggs, pancakes, chocolate chip pancaked, bacon, has browns, various other items, dontus, bagels, fruit, muffins and cereal boxes. (We especially loved the cereal boxes-we snuck a few in our backback to eat back at the hotel!)
It's also pretty well priced compared to other breakfasts-I think $16.99 for adults and $8 for kids.
The waiters play tricks on you and the characters joke around a lot with the staff and customers.

Donalds at the AK is great. We also enjoy Chef Mickeys at the CR.

Donald's is a good one. We had Mickey, Donald, Pluto & Goofy. The food was nice & hot, a lot of good vary too :)

We also really liked Cape May (Beach Club) Character breakfast. The characters there were Minne, Goofy, Chip & Dale.

Chef Mickey & the Winnie the Pooh breakfast were OK, but crowded & loud! Food was typical breakfast buffet foods.

Btw--my son (then 3.5) really loved the Princess Character breakfast at Norway. We saw Snow White, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine & Sleeping Beauty. He thought it was so cool getting kissed by all the beauitful ladies ;)

Thanks for the info! The last time we were at WDW my oldest did not get Mickey's autograph, which she continually brings up. It would be great to do a breakfast that Mickey's at. Donald's at AK sounds great!

With the ages of your kids, I would suggest the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the GF. Pooh is there with one of his hundred acre friends. Also, Alice and the Mad Hatter usually roam the dining room and Mary Poppins is in the lobby.

So you could have something for all the kids.

We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's last week. Characters were Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and Goofy. My kids (DD11 and DS5) had seen this on the Food Network Disney Unrwrapped show and their hearts were set on Mickey waffles, and they weren't disappointed! We grown-ups thought the food in general was pretty good, but you don't go to a character breakfast for the food. Our server was really good, too.

We booked a 10:45 seating and did the breakfast as brunch. I had read that the later seatings are less hurried and noisy, and that was true for us. Next time, I think I'll book an even later seating (11:00), but we had a good experience at 10:45, too.

even if we dont' have the grandkids with us.....hubby and I love to go to this one.....the last three years we have had the same waitress...and we think she is something else........Hope you give it a try .......the food is great too.....we always get licked by pluto and got a good smooch from Donald too......my kind of place...alot of fun and good food too

If you are looking for Pooh characters then I definetly reccomend the Crystal Palace in the MK. Every time we've been there, there is Pooh, Tigger, Eyore, and Piglet. You should definetly consider it.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I would recommemd Donalds at AK as well!! The food is wonderful & the atmosphere is very fun. It is a great way to start the day at AK. We have eaten there each time we have visited Disney and it is a favorite of DS and DH, as well as my parents.

Have fun!!

I really don't think you can go wrong with Chef Mickey's. Your boy will love it and your girls will too.

Thanks for the input. Chef Mickey's and Donald's both sound good. It's so hard to decide. Maybe we'll have to do more than one!!

to me it is the best--did not care for AK--Donald's--felt very rushed--Chef Mickeys's only went for dinner--it was good, but for breakfast you cannot beat Crystal Palace.

Ok, If your oldest wants a princess breakfast, I vote for the one in Norway. My dad, me and my friend (both 18 I might add :-) went and I loved it! the food was great and the Princesses were all very friendly, taking as much time at each time as they needed to and talking with the guests. However, I also love Donald's at AK and Chef Mickey's is one of my all-time faves. If you wnat something that's a dinner instead of a breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern in MK is the greatest! We ate there for Thanksgiving abotu three years ago and I loved it. It's family style and the characters are in colonial garb. It's very cool. Good luck deciding!

My husband and I ate there Saturday morning with a PS for 8:05 and found the food there delicious! We both agreed that it was the best breakfast food we had eaten...the puffed French Toast is yummy! Tigger, Eyeore, and Piglet all come around to the tables, but Pooh stays by the entrace for Character greetings. The atmosphere is bright and sunny. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Donald's at AK was great and my 2 DS's (11 & 8) both liked the princess breakfast.

I just asked the two boys "Did you like the princess breakfast? Did you think it was 'girly'?"
They both responded Yes they liked it and no it wasn't "girly" at all.

Hope this helps...and have fun!

I've heard a lot of good things about Donald's. I'm pretty sure when our window for PS opens, we'll be making one for Donald's on the day we plan on visiting AK.
