I voted for Tusker House, for two reasons. The food is very good. There is a wide selection of breakfast foods. It is possible to eat traditional breakfast foods or to try something new. In addition to the food, the atmosphere is really special. At many of the other character breakfasts, the characters come around and visit with guests. While this happens at Tusker House as well, there is also a musical parade. The message of the song and the feelings inspired by the music make this a truly special dining experience.

My favorites are 1900 Park (I know you said you don't want girly but it has tigger, pooh, mad hatter, alice, and mary poppins.), Chef Mickey (you get to meet the Fab 5 but the food isn't the best) and Crystal Palace ( you get to meet pooh and friends and you can be in the park before it even opens!)

I voted Tusker House, but should have voted other: o'hana was our favorite character breakfast.

Chef Mickey's - best for characters by far; food barely OK.
Tusker House - better food but characters not quite as fun. Still very good but not quite the energy level seen at Chef Mickey's.

My son always loved the character interaction at Chef Mickey's until he was about 10. Then paying more for food quality won out over paying more for characters. Since we go at off-peak times, it wasn't very difficult to see the characters in the parks if he decided he still wanted to.

If your boys love the characters, that was what they will remember; not the food. Go where the characters are the best. They are only young once.

I only have a DD But I often wonder why ??? There is not a character dining option a Hollywood studios offering star wars caracters Or Toy story (pixar)

HELLOOOOO WDW ??? are you listening ???
:thumbsup2

Back in the day they had a character breakfast with the characters from the Aladdin movie which was fantastic.

Table service (I think), all the characters (yes, including a very big Genie) came out a couple of times during our meal.

My youngest DD was around 5 at the time so all the characters were real. How real you ask? :confused3 Glad you asked. :)

When the Jafar character came around to our table, he didn't say much (if anything) but he had the serpent styled walking cane and of course when he reached our table the serpent's ruby red eyes started to go on.

Well, our yongest DD went like this :scared1: and immediately jumped up and ran to me and cowered behind me so I would protect her.

You can't make that stuff up and you can imagine how cool that was (for me :thumbsup2 ). She got over it pretty quickly and it didn't spoil the rest of her breakfast. :cheer2:

It was in the building on the other side of the plaza where the Little Mermaid show was and still is.

Yes, they could use one there for sure.

We love Tusker House. Missed it last time and are definitely adding it back next trip. DH and I loved the food, and DS thought it was so neat to see the characters in their safari gear. It's my favorite as far as food goes, but we also really enjoy 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast...we have had good luck with great servers and good character interaction there. We're pretty crazy about all character meals, though! :goodvibes

We love character breakfasts! We've done O'hana, Cape May Cafe, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, and Chef Mickey's. Out of those, we preferred Chef Mickey's for the food (I'm surprised many on here thought it was so, so! The variety and the quality were fantastic!) The character interaction, however, was extremely s-l-o-w moving...we had to stick around to catch Pluto after his handler took him to another room..irritating to say the least. While they were at our table, we thought the cast members did an excellent job.

O'hana - great food and characters

Cape May - food not as good, but great service and characters

1900 Park Fare - LOVE the Mad Hatter, food not great

Crystal Palace - food not too bad, service good, character interaction not bad

One day we may try the Tusker House, but I've read that Donald only appears outside the restaurant, while you pose for the photo package...I'm sure you can take a photo with your own camera, but it kind of makes me nervous to ask. And I'm not sure he signs, either.

My boys really enjoyed Ohana's and Cape May's since that wasn't a option I picked other.
