The day we leave WDW, I thought it would be nice to finish off our vacation with a character breakfast. Our boys will be 1 and 3 when we go and I thought it would be the perfect finish to our stay.

I have looked at both Chef Mickey's and the Cape May Cafe character breakfasts. Anyone have any info that would be useful to me? Any other character breakfasts at the resort hotels you would suggest? We will be leaving on a Friday morning and trying to make an ADR for the earliest time so we can get on the road early. I can make my ADR in the middle of January for our July vacation.

Thanks,
Bonnie

There's also Donald's Breakfastasaurous in Animal Kingdom in Dinoland.

Buffet set up, I remember getting some early times there.

Great character interaction.

Boys, dinoland, donald all seem to mesh well.

Don't know if you need park admission or if you can just eat there. Just a suggestion.

I remember entering the park before it opened to eat there.

In order to eat at a theme park restaurant, admission to that park is required. So the one at AK is not an option for the last morning, but a nice idea for the day we go to AK. Might be too much food that day though, with going to Boma.

Any other suggestions for resort character breakfasts on a Friday morning?

This character breakfast at the Polynesian is great to end the vacation with. My family did it this past spring and absolutely loved it. The service was great and so was the food. The characters came around to every table for pictures and such. I loved it and I definitely recommend it.

I haven't done Cape May or the others mentioned here, but Chef Mickey's just "radiates" Disney to me,making it a good choice for what you're looking for. All the "biggies" are there - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.

Not sure where you're staying, but you could wrap it all up with a monorail ride. ( that would work for Ohana's too). DS just loved the monorail and our last morning he and I stayed in MK awhile longer for some bigger rides, and ate lunch there, while DH and DD went back to the Poly for lunch. We ended our trip with the monorail ride back, then hopped in the car to head home.

Chef Mickey's!!!! We've done Chef Mickey's as our last day breakfast and it just felt right. I hope you understand what I'm saying. We always go to MK the first and last day of our trip, because it has that Disney magic. Epcot is my favorite park, but MK is the most magical. I feel the same way about Chef Mickey's. The atmosphere and location is just great. :thumbsup2

I've been to both with younger kids - i've noticed sometimes Chef Mickey's can get a bit loud and they have wanted to leave. Where at Cape May it's a more relaxed enviroment so they have stayed and loved the character attention. It really is all a matter of preference.

Have a great time!

Cape May. It's much less hectic than most, and the food is very good. Try their delicious bread pudding.

I'm in the same boat as you for my next trip, I have a late departure on my last day, and want to do a character meal before I have to go home. Right now I'm leaning towards Ohana.
