which character breakfast buffet is best for DDP?

It really depends on what you're looking for! We've found food to be comparable, so I would not let food be the only factor in this decision.

We like Tusker House at AK the best for food; chacters there include Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy in safari gear. We're going back in December and we're doing this one again because we liked it so much.

If you want the Pooh characters and possible early entry to MK, try Crystal Palace.

If you want Pooh, Tigger, Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins, try 1900 Park Faire (we liked the food here as well).

If you're Mickey fans, then try Chef Mickey's (though we did not love the food at this one and we're skipping it this time).

'Ohana is served family style, but there's not as much selection as at the buffets. Characters there include Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch.

Cape May also has a character buffet, but I probably would not do that one unless I was staying in the EPCOT resort area simply because of transportation hassles.

1900 is in grand floridian, right?

how would i get there from VWL using disney transpo ....

I think Princess Storybook dining. Although, I didn't check to see if you had kids and what their gender and ages are. You get a FREE 5x7 and four x 6 pic.

We have done all but one of the character breakfasts and on our last trip we went to 1900 PF for the first time. We really enjoyed the charcters that day they were a ton of laughs. The food was pretty much the same as all the others with the exception being the omlette stations. Would I return to 1900PF?....yes. Was it the best one yet?....no. They are all so similar that I think it really comes down to which characters that you want to see and if you want to see a certain resort.

Our favourite is by far Ohana.

Last year we did Ohana's and CP and we really didn't care for Ohana's. CP was one of our favorite meals during the entire trip. It was also great getting into MK before park opening. This year we are doing CP, Princess Storybook and Tusker House. All but Storybook will be before park opening. My FIL was along for the trip last year and wasn't a morning person. This year he isn't coming so we can do park openings easier!!! We did 1900 Park Fare for dinner and it was one of our least favorite meals. Of course we were not in the main dining room and I think that makes a difference at any of the meals. I have learned to always try and request it.

What about the boat that goes between WL, GF, Poly and MK? Otherwise, I think you'd have to take the bus to MK, then transfer to the monorail? Anyone know a better way?

Our families favorite character breakfast on property is Tusker House.:)
The characters are great ( Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy:daisy: in their Safari outfits).
The coffee and jungle juice is wonderful. The food is wonderful. Lots of choices. They have the usual suspects like Mickey Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage...but they also have lots of other items...yummy frittata's, cheese blintzes with either warm apple or cherry toppings, spiced roasted potatoes and a delicious sweet potatoe casserole thingy;), an oatmeal bar, with brown sugar, dried fruits, etc... The Carved Rotisserie Honey-glazed Ham was sooo good with the sweet & spicy mustard sauce.
They also have tons of fresh fruit, regular cold cereals, breads, and of course a ginourmous cart filled with pastries, cinammon rolls (LOVE the chocolate croissants) and donuts.
When you are done filling up here, you are steps away from the safari. A perfect way to start your day at AK. :goodvibes
