Which car, opinions please.

We are getting ready to hire a car for our November trip.

In the past we have chosen premium or luxury, this time I am unsure if to get the Luxury or convertible.
What do you all think?

There are only the two of us so boot size does not come in to it.

Why not book the luxury and upgrade to the convertible if the weather looks set fair for the week? November should be a great time for a rag-top in Florida, but the weather can occasionally turn wet and cool, so it would be better to see what the outlook is at the time.

I have never been all that keen on convertibles.
Still when you reach 40 you do become a bit more conservative!

We prefer the 7 seater people carrier as we have a young son, stroller and plenty of luggage.
They are great for cruising around in and very easy to drive.

Prior to that we used to go for a full size 4 door saloon, Dodge Intrepid usually.

That part of the post made me smile! Maybe when you are in your forties you become more conservative but wait till you reach the fifties LOL ! Maybe I just want to pretend I am young again !

Odd, it wasn't till DH and I reached our 50s that we bought our convertible in the UK!!!
We must be working backwards!

hmm maybe I am missing out here..possibly in another 15 years we are in Florida we may look at a convertible?

Mind you by then we might all be using flying saucers or something...
