We've had the cold and the frozen. All three of us preferred the cold, hands down. But I am betting we will be in the minority in your poll, as frozen seems to be the most popular by a very safe margin.

I like frozen the best out of the choices you provided but... the butter beer ice cream is my favorite.

I like the cold and the ice cream. Haven't had the hot.

I'm going to be the odd one out and say none - I had the frozen one and thought it was horrible and ended up throwing most of it out! It's super sickly sweet and that's coming from someone with a an extra large sweet tooth :-)

We thought the cold was much sweeter than the frozen. The ice cream is very good too. It's soft serve vanilla with strong butterbeer flavoring on the edges.

Do not ever get the drink over at New Fantasyland at Gaston's Tavern. Seriously. We looooove the frozen butterbeer, and had to throw out one full whatever-it's-called when the 3 of us could barely finish the other one we got (2 to share among 3 people sounded reasonable).

Frozen is my favorite for taste, but in the last few years I've gotten more susceptible to brain freeze, and I don't like crying from pain at themeparks. It's just not cute.

Hot is good, but the serving is too big. And you can't share it properly, since the topping doesn't split in half (it just clunks from one cup to the other).

DS loves the cold. I think it has a bizarre aftertaste, and the topping does weird things on the cold if you drink it too slowly.

We have only had the frozen so can't compare. But the Butterbeer ice cream knocks the frozen Butterbeer right outta the park.

Our family-
DH - ice cream
Me - frozen
DS - cold
DD - cold
None of us has tried hot.

DH and DS#3 prefer the cold one.
Me and DS #2 prefer frozen
DS#1 doesn't like any of them, he usually gets an Icee

We all tried the hot last year, and none of us cared for it. Haven't tried the ice cream one, but between tastes of everyone else's we tried all the other HP ice cream flavors! None of them bad ;)

We absolutely LOVE the frozen.
However, one of our days was wet and chilly, so DD11 decided to try a hot butterbeer. It was fantastic.
We were disappointed in the ice cream. I'd rather get another frozen butterbeer.

Everyone I go with prefers the cold to frozen. Mine goes hot, cold, and dislike the frozen. I haven't had the ice cream. With my bad stomach I'm always scared to try.

I vote for none of the above. The draft and frozen versions are so cloyingly sweet that I feel as if my teeth are about to fall out of my mouth after one sip. Nasty! Because those are so awful I've been hesitant to try the hot Butterbeer, but may give it a shot next time I'm in Diagon Alley on a cold day.

That said, Butterbeer ice cream is actually delightful. I think the creaminess of the vanilla ice cream works very well with the Butterbeer flavor ribbon to create a delicious soft serve. Now if they'd only allow us to adorn the Butterbeer ice cream with hundreds and thousands...

IDK i love a good carmel latte as a splurge but both versions of butter beer taste like cream soda (diet no less eeew). That said, if i had to drink another, would try a frozen again.

Not a problem, saves me from standing in those long lines lol.

I haven't tried the Ice Cream (I tried the Chocolate Chili and Apple Crumble instead both delicious). I thought all the varieties were good, but I'd rank them.

1)Frozen
2)Hot
3)Cold
