Which Building @ OKW

We are staying in a 1bdr at OKW. We have never been there before and therefor do not have a clue where to request. I would like to be near the pool. Any help would be great, Thanks

There are 4 pools at OKW, each "neighborhood" has a nice pool, sandy childrens play area, and hot tub, but only the main pool has a slide and a sauna built into the base of the lighthouse.

The near Hospitality House (the main pool area) is a separate booking category at OKW, just like preferred ad standard at BWV, except the points are the same.

If you are not in the near HH category, bldgs 62 to 64, 15 and 16, and 27 to 29 are also fairly close to the HH area. However, bldgs 62 to 64 are the only bldgs at OKW with elevators, and are often needed for mobility impaired guests.

The buildings in the booking category are 11 to 14 and 23 to 26.

No matter where you are in OKW, it is, at most, a 15 minute walk to the main pool (really closer to 8 to 10 minutes). There are 5 bus stops at OKW, and HH is the last stop, so you can hop on any bus to go the HH area if you don't want to walk. To return o your room, walk across the bridge to the bus stop near bldg 26, it is the first stop on the route, and you can board there to return to your room. Either way, it may be faster to walk than take a bus.

Chuck mentioned the fact that you can use the busses to get around the resort so where your room is isn't much of a consideration. I know it is true for the 2 BR, and I think it is true for the 1 BR, but the older buildings 1-29 only have the bathroom access through the bedroom, and not from the living area. If that is a problem for you, then put in a request for a building above the number 30. Our personal favorit so far is building 33 in the Turtle Pond area because it is next to a bus stop, and the Turtle Pond pool and snack shack is a short walk away.

We are booked for an HH area 2BR on this upcoming stay. I actually didn't request it, but that's what my reservation confirmation says. We stayed in blg 19 two years ago and liked the location because it's a quick right with your car once your in the main gate and we tend to be out late in the parks many nights. And we could walk out and take a quick left to one of the smaller quieter pools.

Thanks, we wanted to be near the main pool. We called and requested that area still have no idea if we will be close. We are on a wait list for BCV (which we have tried to get 4 times now) and BWV. The slide at SSR wil be closed when we are there
