Which building at Bonnet Creek?

I'm thinking about calling Bonnet Creek to request we be placed in a certain building. I think I would like to be close to the pool with the lazy river and overlooking the lake. Does this sound good to those that have stayed there before? TIA

What a nice place! Yes, staying by the pool with the lazy river would be good. That is also where the main building is to use the pool table and ping pong tables and such. (Also if you want to use the internet it is in that building.)

We requested a view of the fireworks, and they said they would try their best to accommodate. I think they said we would be in Tower I and that it is closest to pool, lazy river, miniature golf, etc... kids activities since we have a 5 year old. We counting down the days now!

Our dates are May 5-13. This will be our third family trip to WDW and our first off-site stay. We're looking forward to having a 2-BR unit and space to spread out. We have previously stayed at CBR and POR and enjoyed the resorts, just not the room size. Bonnet Creek looks great and we can't wait to start the vacation!

We will be there the exact dates!!! I have called Bonnet Creek and they told me to call back Thursday to talk to their room coordinator to request a certain room. can't wait!

I'm pretty sure I'm more excited that the kids too! I asked DD yesterday and she said she is excited but I'm the one that always brings up the subject. DS acts like he doesn't even care and just wants to be out of school. Once they get there I know things will change. I am obsessed with planning this trip. I am usually on this board before I go to bed and sometimes dream about Disney! Hope to see you there. We won't have little ds with us but it'll be me, DH, DS(11) and DD(6).

Wow, I am also excited, obsessed with planning AND staying at Bonnet Creek. I think now that I read this I too will have to call to request to be near the pool. We have 4 children who have only been to DisneyLand so they can't wait to check out the "world". We will be there 4/28 - 5/6!

You plug into an ethernet port on the phone. It's highspeed and it's free. All their phones are VOIP, so you just use the same line. You might want to bring an ethernet cable with you, though. I don't recall seeing one in the room and hard to say whether they'd have one at the front desk to loan you.

We will be at bonnett creek on june 20th-27th,,cant wait,,we have 2 bedroom, its nice to be able to have a large room hey guys,,love being able to cook breakfast in the morning,,make lunch,,Im so glad we bought into this place,,man I LOVE WDW,,glad im staying there,,wish we could get extra magic hrs though,,,but we do get nicer more spacious rooms,,next yr we are banking pts and getting the 4 bedroom,have some friends staying,,3 families going to be a blast!

Does anyone know approximately how long of a drive it is from Bonnet Creek to the different parks, if you're taking your own car or rental car? I'm trying to decide if it's practical to take a break during the day and return to the condo for a nap/swim break.

Also, if there are restaurants that are on the way between the parks and the condo?

We stayed at Bonnet Creek last Christmas and New Years (12/21-1/4). 11 of us stayed in a 3 bedroom. We tried to get the 4 bedroom presidential but it was already reserved. It was a little cramped but we spent most of our time at the parks. I can't remember the name of the building, but it was the last building to the right when you enter. It was the furthest away from the main building. Our view was the parking lot and DHStudios. We saw the fireworks New Years Eve.

The best part about this building is that there is a second pool literally steps from the door. Of course it is not as big as the one at the main building, but the 3,5, and 6 year-olds with us loved it. They also had activities by this pool for children each day. However, there were many more activities in the main building which was a 10 minute walk from where we were.

This building was also very quiet. I can't remember hearing hardly any noise from other rooms or outside except for the occasional conversation on the balcony. Oh yeah, the balconies are large.

We had a rental car for our entire stay so I cannot comment too much on the shuttle bus. I do know that is was really limited with its schedule. I do not recommend staying at BC without a car. BC is extremely close to DHS and Epcot. It took just minutes to get to each park. MK was the longest drive and that was no more than 8-10 minutes at the most.

PROS: location, location, location, beautiful decor, quiet, 2nd pool, large balconies, each building has its own parking lot, respite from all things Disney

CONS: No Disney perks, limited shuttle, $10 a day internet fee
