We are going to DL for the first time and love the buffets at WDW. Which one is the best? Storytellers, Goofys Kitchen or PCH grill? We have two boys 10 and 13. Thanks!

We like the Plaza Inn character breakfast because of the number of characters that come through.

Food wise I like Goofy's Kitchen. There are so many more options there.

Each has their own unique appeal. We eat at Goofy's the most, and because it has the characters my daughter loves the most. We like Surf's Up, but it a bit too far for a breakfast on a park day.

Did Goofy's and PCH this last week, and I'd strongly recommend Goofy's between those two. Can't speak on Storytellers, but we ruled that out because of the characters. We've done several character meals at WDW prior to this, and Goofy's ranks right up there. Really top notch.

We have eaten at Story tellers for breakfast and absolutely loved it! I actually reserved it for our upcoming trip in July as I loved the salted Carmel French toast! So yummy!! I also tried PCH Grill dinner buffet and thought it was terrible. There was no one there, which says something... The food was all dried up from sitting there and some of the menu items I was looking to try like the mini stuffed baked potatoes weren't available. This was around 6pm so, not too late either... The dessert bar was a joke! This was like a high priced hometown buffet IMO. I don't recommend it at all.

If you want characters at dinner, Goofy's Kitchen is your only option. Storyteller's dinner buffet is popular. We usually do the menu option there, but the buffet looks good. We haven't done the PPH dinner buffet since the characters left (that was a temporary option), but at that time, the buffet was good (the food was fresh, replenished often, and everything was surprisingly tasty). DLR doesn't have that many dinner buffet options, but the TS choices for dinner (and even the CS choices) are good. Look at the DLR menus on allears.net to see what interests you and what might work well for your family. Ask any questions here!

We went to Goofy's last year for my son's graduation dinner. I was underwhelmed with the food. It just wasn't good. Especially for the price they charge. It's like Chef Mickey's at WDW, and the food isn't good there either

I am trying to decide as well. We have always done goofy and enjoy it because of the atmosphere but the food is not worth the price. This year we might use those premium vouchers Costco give us and apply to another dinner that will satisfy e to everyone in the group. DD is 10 now and will be the youngest in our group of 12. the other kids are 15,15,16,17.

We did PCH grill last time for dinner their bonfire dinner or something like that. My husband liked it DD10 not so much. There is definitely not a lot of choices, but the food was good. DD loves buffet on vacations because of the dessert tables but this one just did not cut it for her.

We also did storytellers for Brunch and liked it. This was a character brunch. They had chicken, pozole, rice, and they also gad waffles, omelets, pastries, and quite a bit more stuff that i can not remember. It was about the same price as PCH. We also did Plaza Inn for breakfast. I think the food is very simple. Waffled, bacon, omelets, but we saw a lot of characters(Minnie, tiger, eyore, pooh, captain hook, rafiki, Max, chip, dale). If i want to see characters this is the place to go for breakfast otherwise i would choose Storytellers brunch.

Food: Storytellers, PCH, then Goofys.
Characters: Plaza, Goofys, Storytellers.

If you want dinner characters, Goofy’s is your best bet.

For best food- Storytellers hands down but no charachters

Best interaction - Goofy’s wins

We’ve been to all of them dozens of times, and have young kids and teens. That’s our take :-)

I agree. If good food is priority, definitely Storytellers. I also like the nicer ambiance at Storytellers. If you want characters, well, Goofy's is your only option but the food is 'meh' (at best) IMO. I have not done PCH for dinner but it seems like most of the reviews for it aren't very positive (but I LOVE PCH for Surf's Up character breakfast).

I will have vouchers from Costco too. How and where can these be applied to a different dining option? I was planning on using them at Goofy’s for dinner since I assumed it was the only dinner option available.

The vouchers are worth around $48 each i think. You can usually apply them at any other restaurant but they will not give you change back.

This year i am almost set on doing Storytellers dinner using 8 vouchers then divining the rest between the two families. Then using the other four for Breakfast at Plaza.

ETA: The only reason we will not be doing Goofys is because we have done it numerous times and although the food is not that great it is still good enough and I think it is a great first time restaurant. The atmosphere is great. Goofys was DD first character dinner and she loved it and still does.

Thanks for the info! Now I’m going to check into Storytellers dinner buffet!
