Which bed sheets?

It might be hard to believe, but Martha Stewart 300TC sheets from KMart are fantastic. I just found a queen size set on clearance for about $32.00. Not a good selection of colors, but for the money, I didn't care. Regular retail for Queen size is about $70. They go on sale all the time.

This is what I buy too. I can usually get king sheets for about $30/set on clearance. I usually buy a neutral color like off-white so the color selection isn't an issue. I have a couple sets that I have had for at least 5 years and they are softer then soft, no pills and look great. I want to say they are 400 TC but maybe only 250.

I got mine from overstock.com. 1000 ct, yes that's one thousand, for $99 -4 years ago. No pilling, very durable and super soft and smoootttthhhh! We LOVE them!

Sam's Club has a high thread count set for under $100 that is really nice. I've also found some great deals at Home Goods.

DH and I love JCPenney's Studio Wrinkle-Free sheets. The thread count is 350. They are silky-soft and smooth and haven't pilled.

OMG! If they truly are wrinkle-free and soft, I love you! :love2: I didn't even know any sheets advertised themselves as wrinkle-free. I hate putting on sheets that look like they've already been slept on & are rumpled. :headache: But percale sheets, which do stay wrinkle-free, because of all that starch (or whatever) are too hard & stiff.

The best sheets I have ever had I purchased off e-bay, they are 100% egyptian cotton, 1000 thread count, they are super soft. I loved them so much that I was telling co-workers about them so they purchased them too and they also love them. I think with shipping a king size set was around $50. I think the e-bay store is called Egyptian Cotton Warehouse or something similar.

They really are wrinkle free!

(We'd bought some "wrinkle-free" sheets at Linens N Things which were horribly wrinkly, so we were a little leery!).

I heard that Egyptian cotton can be the wrinkly kind...
I got sheets from Penney's (but not Penneys brand) that are a fairly high thread count Egyptian cotton. They are soft enough.... but boy do they wrinkle!!! think I heard right.

I think a thick, soft, cotton that 'drapes' is hard to find.

Are they a thick 'buttery' fabric..
or a thinner 'silky' feel???

I've never looked at thread counts or fabric. I just buy the sheets with designs that I like.

Sometimes they aren't soft enough at first, but a few washings and a bunch of Downy takes care of that.

Good luck!

well, I've ordered 2 sets in different colors. The blue I would say are definitely thin and silky, but the pink ones are thicker and not as silky, sorry not much help.

I only buy sateen sheets. A bit more expensive and have a slightly silky feel to them, but no matter what brand I have bought, they have never gotten pills.

Found the best sheets ever @Costco online a couple years ago. They were Kirkland Supima, 600 tc I believe. Soft, smooth, silky. No pilling. They launder well and don't seem to get wrinkled. I love them and bought two sets. Saves time when changing the sheets.

I only buy jersey sheets. They're so smooth, don't pill up, and they're very cozy-feeling. Imagine sleeping on tee shirt material...that's jersey.:thumbsup2
