I knew I disliked BC and YC for a reason. Well, a lot of reasons but that's a biggie. Nuts. I knew the DVC rooms were like that but didn't know regular resorts were. I wonder if that's accurate? There are errors on the bed configurations on MDE. Some are shown that don't exist. Not that I remember them now
But wait, so it's 1 queen, 1 chair and 1 day bed? That's not too bad. I was thinking 1 queen and 1 chair. That's very small room.
LOL! Yes, it says 1 queen, 1 chair (yuck) and 1 day bed (not bad, IMHO). We've stayed as a party of 2 in these resorts multiple times and, thank goodness, have never been assigned one of these rooms so I have zero personal experience as to whether they exist or not. I have also gone as a solo traveler and they gave me a king room.
We have 4 in our party( 3 adults and 1 child). Thanks, I will look at those room categories.
I will say there is zero chance they will give you anything less than 2 queens. You could always request the 2 queen/day bed room as well and have a shot at getting it.
Can you give me your reasons for not liking YC and BC? Still deciding on a different resort. I have always loved being able to walk back to the MK with a child and a stroller so that is why I am looking at the 3 resorts you can walk to HS and Epcot. Now I might consider Caribbean Beach since they have a Skyliner station plus they have a fifth sleeper option room. How crowded are these stations in the morning and evening and does the line move pretty quickly? Thank you again for any advice.
I'm not the PP you asked this of, but I thought I would weigh in. We love BC/YC and BWI (like Swan/Dolphin, too!). They are SO convenient to EP and DHS. BC is my favorite of the three. It's lively and you simply can't beat the proximity to EP and now the EP IG Skyliner station. We just stayed at RIV in late December and we LOVED the Skyliner! It was so efficient! We had dinner at Topolino's one night and I really wanted to see the new EP Forever show which was starting at 9:30 pm. I got to the Skyliner station at 9:13 pm (I actually timed this to see how long it would take and if I would make it in time). I was in EP at 9:28 pm, quickly found a pretty good spot (this was during Christmas week and it was packed to the gills). Done with EP Forever at about 9:42 pm, went to the Skyliner with the mad rush of people leaving and was in a gondola in less than 10 minutes. I made it back to RIV a little after 10 pm, literally less than an hour from when I left - it was AWESOME! I would definitely put CBR on the list (it's the "hub" for the Skyliner, so you'll never need to transfer to get to EP or EHS), but I wouldn't discount BC/YC and BWI just yet!
