We would like to do a quieter beach excursion on St. Thomas. Snorkeling is not a requirement, just a relatively uncrowded beach (if that's possible with the DCL excursions). There's a new Secret Sands excursion that goes to Smith's Bay, but I don't know much about that area. Also, I've read that the Secret Harbor Resort will allow you to use their beach for the day without being a guest (we would use the restaurant there, though). Any help would be appreciated.

We did the KonTiki cruise and beach time (with a then 3 yr old) and other than having to walk from the back of the boat in the water to the beach (no dock), the cruise over to, seeing the ocean life and about with about the perfect amount of beach time (would not think long enough but the sun is really strong coming from a northern clime), it was very enjoyable. We did the morning and were one of the first to arrive with the beach empty, but by the time we were leaving with a number of other tour companies boats arriving, the beach was busier but not jammed or overly crowded.
