Which backs up first - Test Track or Soarin?

We have an 8:15am res at Akerhaus so we are going to be cutting it close to being done by the time the park opens to get to Test Track and Soarin. Which one should we go to first as far as standby vs. Fastpass, etc?

Or should one of us run out at 9 to grab fastpasses for one and then meet the rest of the group at standby for the other when they finish up breakfast?

I would send someone to get Soaring FPs and then all get in Test Track stand by. Soarin's fast passes run out first, so getting that early to not have too late of a return time would be (to me ) best.

Agreed (unless you want to ride Soarin' twice...then meet up at Soarin'...you can get a FP for Test Track after your Soarin' one allows)

If you want to ride each once then send a FP volunteer to get a Soaring FP and meet you at the Test track Stand-by but if you want to do Soarin twice then I'd get over there as soon as you can ride... grab a FP if there are any ... and get to Test track before 10am to join Stand by. We did this last June with no problems. Soarins a priority for us so we pretty much plan our EFW touring round it.

In fact I don't think we'll bother with TT as a group again. DS didn't like it and I can take it or leave it so I think DH will do that as solo from now on.

we have found this works out... we run to soarn at rope drop...ride it..grab a fast pass..head to test track (this is much more exciting to wait in line for, neater stuff to look at)..then off to mission space the green side which is never that busy...by that time its time to head back to soarn.

I agree with everyone else and get the Soarin FPs first and then head over to TT to ride standby. I also agree that if you want to ride Soarin twice, then get over there first and get a FP then go straight into the standby line. Have a great trip.

I agree with everyone, but I wanted to specifically mention that I would not leave the restaurant to go get the FP. Even if you don't get over there until 9:30am, the FP will still be there and TT won't be too bad to ride Standby.

I agree as well. Even if you go to Soarin' right at rope drop, you may still find yourself waiting in a 30-40 minute standby line. We got to Epcot at rope drop, International Gateway, we made a beeline for Soarin and by the time we got down there, the line was already 30 minutes, I grabbed FPs and by the time we got in the stand by line it was 40 mins.

I'm going to add my agreement to everyone else's - send a runner to Soarin' then ride TT stand-by! If anything, only because the stand-by for TT is exponentially more bearable and fun than Soarin' (to me, at least!).

I'm getting out of breath thinking about because I am the FP runner! I usually head to Soarin and get FP and then head to TT and meet up with everyone else for standby line. We can usually do a standby at TT and a single rider at TT before heading back to Soarin and we may stay in the area long enough to get a FP for TT for later before heading over to Soarin.

Thanks everyone!

Is Akerhaus far from Soarin? I know there is an Epcot map out there somewhere but realistically wanted to figure how much time is needed to get from Norway to Soarin and then from Soarin to Test Track since I will likely be the runner!

It's a hefty walk. I've done the Soarin-to-Test-Track-for-Fast-Passes-and-then-back-to-Soarin run before, and it always surprises me how far it is. And you're coming all the way from Norway!

I would estimate 20-25 minutes to get from Norway to Soarin, maybe a wait at the Fast Pass lines, and then back to Test Track.

We're lucky as we'll have non-riders. We'll send my mom for the Soarin' FPs while the 4 of us riding head straight for TT to ride. Those are the big 2 for us as no one cares to ride MS.

Get FPs for Soarin' first - they run out much more quickly.

Remember that TT has a single rider line, too - it's a great way to ride without much of a wait, if you don't mind your party being split up.

I agree with everyone else. We were at rope drop for Epcot, got fast passes for Soarin, rode Soarin, then went to TT and rode that. The line wasn't too long yet. Then we got FP for TT before heading back to Soarin. Lots of walking, but that's what we do at Disney, right? Have a wonderful trip!
