Which attraction to rope drop in Fantasyland?

Fantasyland isn't particularly big - the walk from Pooh to Peter Pan is perhaps 5 minutes, and then from Peter Pan to Be Our Guest is only 5 minutes. Peter Pan is about a 2 minute ride, so if you head straight there and don't have a long wait, and then head over to Pooh and don't have a long wait (and you shouldn't for either at RD), then you should be able to do both before breakfast. Any chance you can push breakfast to 1030 or so? We typically don't eat the first couple of hours because it is a great time for hitting the rides. Another option (if interested) would be to ride Pooh first, then Buzz Lightyear, then go to breakfast. There is a bit more backtracking with that plan.
We went the first week of May a few years ago and the crowds are very manageable.

I wish I could push back breakfast. I should have thought about that months ago when I booked the reservation. Now, Be our Guest is totally booked that day. I'm just happy I have any reservation. Especially since dining in the Beast's castle is one of the things we are looking forward to the most! Good to know that the distances are close. It's hard to tell just looking at a map. I think we'll definitely try for two attractions before breakfast, probably PP and Pooh. That plan has the most votes.

I just want to encourage you to continually stalk and check the BOG dining reservations - as time gets closer, people change their plans and spots open up - and if you happen to be there at the right time you can move your breakfast back or change it to an early lunch

Assuming you'll want to do some rides more than once, Peter Pan. That's going to be the ride with the longest wait times throughout the day other than 7 Dwarfs. I'd try to ride Peter Pan first, then Pooh, then breakfast.
Second this! Peter Pan is worth doing twice. Peter Pan, then Pooh!

Also, if you're staying on property, consider what we always do, & take a break at your resort from 2-5 & let the baby nap & the kids swim. You'll be much happier and more rested going back to the park for your evening.

According to Googlemaps it is a 2 minute walk from Pooh to Peter Pan. Sounds about right. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Pet...2d7c9e4768c4f6!2m2!1d-81.5802509!2d28.4201057

Hmmm another vote for PP and Pooh. Is the line for PP that great. I was originally planning on just riding it when we have our fastpass but if it's that good we could go twice.

Yes, I think you can do Peter Pan right at rope drop, and then have time to do Pooh as well before going to breakfast. Pan tends to build long lines first. With those two out of the way, I would say do Under the sea with Little Mermaid after breakfast, and then fit in what ever else you can before your Pan FP. You should be able to do the rest of Fantasyland standby with 20 minute or less waits.

That's the plan! I was reading on another thread that it doesn't always work out but even if the baby doesn't sleep (which would be very strange) it will still be nice to rest and swim before going back at night. Good to hear it worked out for you!

Have FUN!

If you're going to spend an entire day in FL and NFL, I would also recommend a rope drop day in which you do the exact opposite -- when the herd heads to 7DMT, you take advantage by going everywhere else and enjoy the short lines for the first couple hours in the morning. After all, you'll have had your fill of FL anyway.

I just wanted to give an update in case anyone else has the same question. I went to MK two days ago and it worked incredibly well. We got in the park at 8:30, took a leisurely walk up Main Street and stopped and got a photopass photo in front of the castle. Then we walked up to the rope just to the left of the stage at the bottom of the ramp to go through the castle. We had a fantastic view of the show (great way to start the day!). At rope drop, we walked straight through the castle to Peter Pan. We parked tbe stroller and walked though the line. We had to stand for maybe 10 minutes. We were out by 9:20. When we got out the wait time was 50 minutes. There was a 10 minute posted wait at Small World. We walked across and literally walked right on woth zero wait. Thanks for your help. It was great to start the day with it going so well.

We have three MK days planned. I'm travelling with my husband, 10 year old son, 6 year old daughter and 16 month old baby. This day, I want to spend the whole day in Fantasyland. We might head over to Liberty Square if we have enough time but are totally willing to save that for another day.

Here's what we have booked so far:
9:45am Reservation at Be our Guest
12:45pm fastpass for Peter Pan
6:10pm fastpass for Enchanted Tales with Belle
7:30pm fastpass for Fairytale Hall (Cinderella) (for DD and me)
7:45pm fastpass for Seven Dwarves (booked for DH and DS, will use rider switch for DD and me after Fairytale Hall)

We want to visit as many attractions as we can in Fantasyland. We want to go at rope drop and do at least one attraction before breakfast. Which one should we head to first?

Here are some attractions I'm considering based on the wait times I've seen on websites and fastpass priorities:
-Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid
-Ariel's Grotto
-Barnstormer
-Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Which one would you rope drop?

First, I'm just going to say having a 9:45 ADR is really taking up a lot of time when it's going to be the lowest crowds for the whole day. Personally, there's no way I'd do an ADR at that time - can you change it for PPO or for later (honestly, I don't think I'd do one before 12:30ish, just because crowds are soooo much lower in the am, but even moving it to 10:45 or so would help).

This is how we do Fantasyland with minimal wait starting at rope drop, Peterpan (I understand you have a fastpass for later, but we like to ride it twice), Winnie Pooh, Tea Cups, Ariel, Meet Ariel, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Carousel, IASW -then you could head over to Haunted Mansion.

When are you going? We go in late August and are able to complete all of that (including HM) by noonish. Your ADR will push you about an hour later, but you should have plenty of time to do other areas of MK if you're planning on staying all or most of the day.

So, this was not part of the question but as a boy mom who has a 10 year old boy, I would rethink that day. My boys love WDW and have done Fantasy Land at all ages but a whole day at age 10 would be. Total flop with my pretty innocent, laid back 10 year old. He loves SDMT and likes the teacups but many of the other things he does to make me happy. He was not really even a fan of BOG so in other words most of the day would not reflect his choices. Maybe mix your days up a bit and do a little bit each day.
