Which are the newer home rental communities?

We stayed offsite last at Windsor Hills, while location was great the condo was showing its age...clean but carpet, appliances were older style. My family and I would like to stay offsite next visit in a home with private pool, do you know where should we look for newer homes?

Windsor Hills, Bellavida (east end of 192), Tuscan Hills ( on 27)
The Reserve section of Windsor Hills has the newest homes, some just finished last year. You can tell the newer homes because they have the slate roofs instead of the black shingles.
The condos and townhouses were built in 2005.

The age of the community has not a lot to do with the condition of the home unfortunately.There are homes on new ones that are in need of tlc as you have discovered and ones on older communities that do not look their age because they are looked after well by the owners.If a home is used a lot by TA groups then it will have a lot of wear and tear and as owners don't get the full amount that is paid by the guests upgrading often isn't done as often as it is needed.

I agree with Jan. Some of the older homes we've stayed it have been well looked after and were very nice. Sometimes the owners furnish cheaply and it doesn't take a lot of renting to show the wear and tear. I like renting from owners that use the home part of the year themselves, they can see for themselves when something needs fixing or upgrading and do it.
The condo you had was probably just bad luck. We've stayed in WH 3 times and the places were all nice, one was a little basic but the price was also low.

Thank you for your suggestions...think we'll try the Reserve next as those do look nice.
We rented from owners, it was actually a TH (not condo) and it was a nice stay but we will be happier to pay a little more and stay at a newly renovated or relatively new place.
