Which would you choose? If you want to post any comments about specific brands or appliances, please do...:D

OK.. first I hate my SubZero refrigerator.. supposedly this is one of the best in appliances... twice the freezer has let go and I have lost all my food and once the refrigerator part.. in less than 4 years..

I also have a Kitchen Aid Stove.. it was bought at the same time as the sub zero...and every holiday it decides that it is changing the oven from Fahrenheit to Celsius.. which is always fun when you are trying to cook a meal.. So I am getting rid of it and have just bought a GE stove with the large oven.. I will have to let you know on that one.

I have a Bosch dishwasher.. Love it.. no problems.. a Maytag Washer.. love it. no problems and a Speed Queen dryer.. no problems.. the washer and dryer I have had for over 12 years... the dishwasher is about 4 years old..

I have all Maytag appliances and I love them. Never had any problems, and would buy Maytag again.

I actually have an old Frigidare stove that has worked like a charm for 24 years. Of couse it doesnt get loads of use. ;) My fridge is a GE and its been pretty good. I did have a GE washer and dryer. The dryer is great the washer died just after the warrenty ran out. I replaced it with a Fisher Paykel and I love it! Around here its hard to get Sears to service anything so we would never use the Kenmore brand.

Have always had incredibly good luck with Whirlpool....the fridge finally died...after 20 years...replaced with another Whirlpool...
The washer/dryer and range...all Whirlpool...are all slightly over 20 years old...
After I submit this post....I will go check to make sure that they are all still working....I have a way of "tempting fate"

Just stay away from Frigidaire!!!!!!!!!

We bought one of their side by side refrigerators when we remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago, it has had 3 major repairs which included total loss of food, the drawers are cracked and cost is about $40 a piece to replace. We paid over $1K for this piece of junk and next time it breaks down, we are getting something new. My biggest problem with it (other than the above mentioned) is that the area below the water dispenser is all rusted and expanding every day. This started happening within a year, we tried to get them to fix under the regular warranty and also the extended warranty. They wouldn't do it, as according to them "it's an aesthetic problem". You should see this thing, in fact I'll take a picture of it and send it to you if you like. I have spoken to managers and written letters to their CEO without success, they simply don't care. In the meantime, we are stuck with it but never again to Frigidaire products. BTW, my neighbor across the street also bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and has had similar problems with it (no rusting though, the design was totally changed). One of my good friends has a Frigidaire stainless steel side by side and has had it repaired 3 times, also says never again (hers is 3 yrs. old).

I love my Maytag dishwasher, we have had it for 6 years with zero problems. I'm really impressed.

The washer and dryer are Kenmore brand and it's at least 10 yrs. old. I'm really impressed with them.

One of my neighbors had problems with all her Kenmore appliances (fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer & dryer), they are newer though. Our stove is also a Frigidaire, no functional problems.

We have a Kenmore over the stove microwave, no problems with it.

:D

We usually read Consumer Reports for a good suggestion.

We put Kitchen Aid in our new home. We bought the side by side refrig, Over the stove microwave, and dishwasher. All are working like a dream so far.

Our Stand up freezer is a Whirlpool, as is our stove/cooktop. When we can, we will purchase a Maytag washer and dryer, and a Kitchen Aid Convection oven/cooktop.

I would NEVER buy GE/HOTPOINT appliances. Hey, the counter balance on our old washing machine was a CEMENT BLOCK. How's that for quality??!?!?

Good luck with your decision!
