Which appetizers at LeCellier are enough for an entree? Elsewhere?

I was looking at the menu for LeCellier and noticed the skewered beef with an onion tart...that really sounds like it would be enough to serve as an entree! Any opinions?

And, while I'm at it, are there any other appetizers at ts restaurants that you felt could have been an entree on its own?

Thanks!

From what I have noticed most appetizers are not large enough to equal an entree, but what I have had a lot of success doing when traveling solo is ordering two appetizers and making an entree out of them. That way I can enjoy more than one dish, and it usually ends up being less expensive then a single entree.

When we went in September (Dinning plan) I had the Mussels appetizer, which could easily have been a meal. It was AWESOME! It had tomatoes & corn and spices and the mussels were very plump and fresh. I really enjoyed it...of course my kids ( 8 & 12) looked at me like I was NUTS, but I really liked it. My daughter had the steak kabob as an appetizer and that was good, too...just not for a full meal, but as an appetizer, I'd recommend it.

Ooops, just noticed that what my daughter had was the appetizer you were asking about! No, you'd be hungry after it, unless you filled up on those yummy pretzel breadsticks!

I had a side of cream cheese mashed potatoes (delicious!), and the serving was large and the potatoes filling. Pair that with the pretzel bread, and I was wishing I hadn't ordered an entree because I had no room for anything else!

Alfredos lunch has a pizza appetizer that is about dinner plate size. I personally could have made a meal out of that.

We found LeCellier appetizers to be the tiniest of any! We got the 3 cheese sampler and I kid you not, the portions were the size of 3 very small teaspoons. We thought it was a joke! I have eaten in some really nice restaurants and have never seen such tiny portions.

I do what msteddom suggested, and that's order two appetizers, (and dessert :goodvibes ) so then I have enough food for me. I'm actually planning on the beef skewers, and my favorite, the cheddar cheese soup, as I know that would be enough food for me. (And also the chocolate whiskey cake.) That way I'm able to eat at least at two TS places a day. I've done this at Kona, Artist Point, Jiko, Coral Reef, and I'm sure there's others.

i have to agree Lecellier had smaller appetizers than some. we got steak as an entree and the side with that was little too. ( we split, appe. entree and dessert) i forget what appe we got there but if it weren't for the bread we'd have been hungry( unlike any other place we split at)

Most restaurants, I'm not sure about at WDW, will serve an entrée sized portion of an appetizer if you see an appetizer you really like and want it as an entrée.

You really can't tell portion size from the menu. MYW Dining is causing every guest to order an appetizer and dessert. As a result many restaurants are shrinking the portion size. I wouldn't count on a single appetizer being enough for a meal. There are exceptions but it may change before your trip.

Last Trip <MAY 2005> At The Kona Cafe I Ordered The Crab Cakes <3> And Also The Pot Stickers. Both Were Enough For Me As I Do Not Eat As Much As I Used To. Don't Know If They Have Reduced The Size Or Not But I Will Soon Know.

That's exactly what I had, ;) and the chocolate lava cake!
