We have stayed at ASMo the last 2 visits and loved it!As you have probably seen on my last few posts we are planning on staying there again this December. My DS will be almost 4 when we go and is BIG into Toy Story and Dalmations!
But,because we have already stayed here twice I'm wondering if we should try a different resort-either sports or music.I have never even looked at either one of these when we have been in the past-decided to tease ourselves and toured all the deluxe ones!
So I'm wondering how these compare to movies? Are the food courts the same? How are the pools?Do they seem older?Tranportation the same?AND-WHICH IS BEST FOR 4 YR.OLD?!!!!!!
I know I asked alot but any advice will do!
Thanks,
Kim

I think ASMO is your best bet considering your 4 yr. old. We stayed at Sports some years ago when our children were young (elementary school age). We were at ASMO this past Jan. with now grown children. We all loved that as well. We jumped over to Music each day during our January trip to use the food court and jump on the bus. I think each is comparable to the other. By the way, DH & I are planning a trip alone in Dec. 2003 and will probably split our stay between ASMusic and AKL. We think the Music will probably be our best choice sans children.

I say that you should stick with AsMo. I've stayed at all three and that was definitely my favorite. We didn't have a good experience with ASSp. The door to one of our rooms wouldn't work and they worked on it for 10 minutes and gave up and told us to go through the adjoining room which another part of our party was in. AsMu was nice but not as entertaining for young children as AsMo. The food courts are all basically the same and so are the rooms and pools. To me AsMo seemed newer, which it is, but AsSp seemed run down.

I agree that ASMo is your best bet. Last year I stayed at ASMu and didn't like all the college and high school informal groups. Although I'm a high-school teacher who has 2 sons in college and I have nothing against kids in general, it seemed I heard a lot of "un-Disney-like" language ( if you know what I mean, and yes, I'm sure my sons use it when I'm not around!) Also, they stayed up by the pool and bar laughing and partying until well after midnight. I walked over to ASMo and it seemed to be a much nicer, family atmosphere.

Thank-you!I think I'll stay put!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had to say welcome from Worcester. I lived there for 40 years, went to college there, both sons born there. Haven't noticed any posters from Worcester.

I was wondering if I could ask you a question. When you stayed at ASMu, what time of year was it? I'm guessing it was close the end of the school year...at least that was when my show choir from The U of New Mexico went. I'm heading down in January and I am considering the All-Star resorts over the moderates(mainly for the price). And "Hello" to antkim from Steven in Somerville.

Hi Boston Tigger and Steven,
Actually I have been on the boards since last fall and haven't noticed too many BOSTONIANS myself!I'm not alone!Which colleges did they go to and where did you live?I live right near Assumption College!

BostonTigger, actually I was there the very beginning of January 1-4. It was when schools were still on vacation. I remember coming back and telling my sons that I had visions of kids sitting around their dorm saying "Hey, let's all go to WDW during vacation! Where's the cheapest place to stay?"
And antkim, I did take one course at Assumption-pretty location.

Hey antkim, actually BostonTigger and Steven are one in the same...I alway sign my name after each thread. I actually attend The Boston Conservatory on The Fenway. And Simba's Mom, thanks for your post. I'm hoping to stay at the All-Stars where I can afford it, and don't want to have to put up with a lot of rowdy college students on break. If I have to, I'll pay a little more for one of the moderates...but we'll see.

Just realized Boston Tigger and Steven were the same and it was Simba's Mom that I was referring to!!!!Sorry about the mix up!
Steven,my sister is a pianist and vocalist in Boston clubs(also Marina Bay) for a living! If you ever get out and about I'll tell you where she works-she is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!Has a wonderful reputation in Boston.Good luck!

I've stayed at all 3 All Stars and I would pick Sports just because the busses stop there first. :D
