A while back I know I read somewhere a list of which airlines use which gates at MCO. Does anyone have that information, or at least which airlines use which terminal? We're trying to coordinate meeting family coming in on United airlines and we're on Continental.

I copied this from an older version of Passporter.
United uses gates 30 to 59 side B and
Continental uses gates 1 to 29 side A.

I know I've read other posts, which recommend meeting at a certain location in the Food Court, since you can get a snack or a drink while you're waiting. I've only taken one trip in and out of MCO, so I'm not that familiar with the airport. Maybe check the website for the airport and look at the lay-out. :flower: MCO

Thanks! Does each terminal have its own baggage claim area? And does each terminal have its own Rental Car area? For instance, we'll be renting a car from National. So could we say "Meet us at the National Rental Car counter"?

Yes, Baggage claims and car rentals are in both the "A" and "B" side of the terminal. Since it looks like you have people coming in on both, you might want to decide who is renting the car and have them drive around and pick up the folks on the other side. (i.e. let's say that John is renting the car and their luggage is on the "A" side. He and his family will go and get their luggage and pick up the rental car, then drive around to the "B" side and pick up those folks). Of course, if people have carry on only, then it doesn't matter. All gates come out to the main terminal and then you go down to whichever side is yours for luggage ("A" or "B"). In that case, you could all meet in the main terminal and head down to pickup luggage/car. (You could meet at the Disney store). Hope this makes sense

You cannot just say "food court". There is a food court at the far end (gate end) of each tram line. There is a store selling Disney stuff in the food court area for gates 70 to 99 or so. In all my travels there I don't recall whether it is a "real Disney Store".

Correction: Gates 1 to 29 and 30 to 59 are at the end of the main terminal with most of the stores. Gates 60 to 129 are at the end where the Hyatt hotel is. When you get to the main terminal from any gate and after you exit security, the stairways to the A side baggage claim and the B side baggage claim are both quite close to you although in opposite directions.

"Many bags look alike..."

Having the person renting the car drive around to the other side to meet the others can be tricky unless the driver knows their looks extremely well or they wear distinctive clothing.

"Many columns holding up the canopy look alike..."

Why not meet at the Magical Express counter? Or rather, right of it? There's only one DME counter in the Orlando airport, so there's NO chance of getting confused between the A side and the B side of the terminal. I realize you're not using DME, but the car rental counters are on the same level.

That's a great idea! Does anyone know which side DME is on? Whichever, just wondering-we'll meet there!

Thanks so much! I know I saw this website a while ago, and had no idea how to get back to it. Also, now I can prove to DH that there ARE 2 different security checkpoints. But at least Continental and United use the same one for the return trip.
