Which Airlines Don't Serve Peanuts?

I have no idea what is in kids/toddlers meals in WDW, but in DL, I think you can get "uncrustables" which are pre-made PB&J sandwiches. There is a distinct possibility that every ride and table and everything may be contaminated. I know you deal with this all the time, but I can see where this could be a problem with children's play areas. Also, with the changing economy, I have seen a LOT more people bringing their own sandwiches and eating anywhere. Just a thought

Just about all if not all CS places in MK serve PBJ/Uncrustables. They are also served in most resort food courts. Several locations also have open bins of peanuts for candy making. (Candy Caldroun, Goofy's Kitchen, Ice Cream parlor and the Confectionary on Mainstreet come to mind)

Yes, Disney does offer the Uncrustables, but the issue with airplanes is the confined environment and not being able to get away from what is or is potentially about to be making your or your child deathly ill and the fact that if something does happen, you are 30,000 feet away from any sort of medical facility. If a child sits down next to us at WDW with an uncrustable, we can go to another table. That's not an option if we are flying across the country (it's sort of windy out on the wings).

Some of the lines and other areas of Disney are a confined environment. And it is not always possible to "get away".

None of the areas at Disney compare to the confinement and limited air supply of an airplane. Even in an enclosed space such as the parlor of the haunted mansion you aren't in there for hours like on an airplane and I'm sure Disney has ways to get people out in the event of an emergency.

The biggest problem with flying is when they serve bags of peanuts and a large number of flyers open these bags in a short period of time in a closed airpace. The way the bags poof when you open them (a very scientific term) sends much more peanut matter into the air than a few random people eating products containing pb.

What is your point? That this family shouldn't go to Disney because she's trying to make the wisest choice of airlines and asking the question on a board for people with medical disabilities?

I am not sure your point comment it directed at me, but I will go ahead and answer just in case.

At no point did anyone suggest anything even close to the op not going to WDW. I was just sharing my experience (as someone with severe allergies who has had to leave lines/shows at WDW due to allergen exposure.) Sometimes people do not realize some lines are enclosed and can be difficult to get out in a hurry. And as someone who had a major reaction and had to get across the 3 o'clock parade, I understand how hard it can be to get to medical attention even at WDW.

My apologies. I did misread your comment. I took it as a snide remark when clearly it was not intended to be.

My niece has a severe peanut allergy. Knowing that others can bring peanuts onto the plane my sister brings antibacterial wipes with her. They just flew back from Tampa on Delta. Before the sit in their seats she wipes the entire thing down including the door to the overhead compartment. When the steward/ess comes around askin if you want a drink etc. she hands her some hand sanitzer and asks them to use it before hander them a drink can. She also gives them a wipe to clean the can first. They bring their own plastic glasses with them so they know that nobody has touched them. This way there is no chance of contamination. They do this no matter what airline they use. They also ask to be one of the first to board so that they have time to do this. They have all been very accomadating.
