We want to try one of the Agent P missions on our Epcot day. Which one would you recommend for a 6 year old girl? I have heard that some are better than others and that some are better for older kids.

OOPS- I have no idea how this posted on the Budget Board. Mods, will you please move it? Thanks!

Every time that my boys have done the Agent P or the old Kim Possible missions, they didn't get to pick their mission. They were assigned a country to report to. I think it probably has something to do with how many missions are going on at the countries at the time you report for duty - you are assigned to the country that can handle one more agent.

Thank you. I thought you could choose which country. I learn something new here everyday! :thumbsup2

No, you do get to pick which country, within limits. For example, the booth between Norway and Mexico, you have to pick between those two countries. There are other booths scatter throughout WS.

When we went in Jan., my DD9 and DS6 had a blast doing this. Out of 7 countries, they did, um, 7! And they have different missions for each country, so you could do the same country twice and have different clues.

A 6yo is likely to need help, though--my DS6 couldn't have done the whole thing without his sister. But, they both had a fabulous time. Don't be surprised if one mission is not enough!

P.S. I didn't actually do the missions with them--I found a place to sit, where I could keep on eye on things, but give them a touch of freedom. I wouldn't have done this with just one 6yo. I asked my two "experts", DD9 preferred China (maybe biased since she loves China and pandas), DS6 liked Japan. And Norway. Basically, they liked all of them. Here's another tip, though--the Mexico one is inside, so you're in air-conditioned comfort...

China and Japan are both good missions.

We've had it work both ways - we've had the opportunity to pick, we've been told that we have to take the mission available, we've been sent from a booth at one end of the park to do a mission at the other end. We've done them all twice - one as Kim Possible and one as Agent P (they made more sense as Kim Possible missions - they didn't redo them enough for Agent P).

What they are is your kid gets a "cell phone" - the cell phone gives them clues that are scavenger hunt like. They type in numbers or letters into the phone and things happen that give them the next clue. Eventually they "solve" the case.

(I just asked my daughter who is 13 and ran these when they first came out - then again a year or so ago, she likes Japan best)

The phone thing activates various things in the country you're in. A statue's eyes may glow, for example. In Mexico, I know Perry pops up on one of the balconies, and in Germany, Dr. Doofenschmertz gets chased around a clock tower--again, these things are activated by the device. If you were in the country, you probably wouldn't even notice them if you weren't looking. pixiedust:

While the Mexico mission is inside, if it's busy in there it can be a little challenging to focus on the game...it can get loud and with many people inside it may be hard to be standing the right spot, which is required to complete the tasks.

I'd say Mexico is an 11am mission vs. a 4pm mission. :goodvibes

The one in France looked neat but we didn't actually go that one. We preferred China over United Kingdom. We did get an opportunity to pick. If you pick up before you are in the WS, then you can pick any of them.

I think it really does depend upon the time of day and luck of the draw and patience on which you do and how many you do. When we did it there was only one mission available. All the others were full. As we toured the WS we stopped at each kiosk to see if we could find one that had an available slot . My kids had a blast though. I believe we did Germany. We didn't try to do any more as we only had a day and a half to spend in Epcot and they had so much else they wanted to see. We did this on our half (arrival) day in the afternoon and as we were staying at YC entered thru that gate though not the main gate and did not see the kiosk that is before the WS, which may have made a differnce in finding a mission.

My personal favorite is France. I actually work this attraction! Each country has two to three different mission. You will be offered a selection of available countries from ones that are closest to the cart you choose to sign up at and the system will randomly assign you the mission in your country of choice. If you want to play with no wait the Italy cart is always your best bet. For the cart in Italy we can send you to Germany and Japan. From Norway cart it is Mexico, Norway, or China. From the cart by the international gateway it is Japan, France, and the UK. From the cart on the Odyssey Bridge it is Mexico, Norway, or the UK (occasionally France depending on CM). Just remember you must start the phone and get to you chooses country with in 15 minutes or Doctor Doof will shut the phone down forcing you to return to a cart to get it restarted.

Each child likes different countries so it is hard to say which are the absolute best. As others have pointed out during F&W and busy seasons Mexico gets super crowded almost to the point that the missions don't work. Luckily it has a cart near by if you need help.
