Which ADRs to you request at 180 days out?

Others might have already noted, but I typically try to book them ALL at 180 out if possible. Starting with BOG and Ohana. Then the (now available) RoL dining package and Fantasmic dining package (if times have already dropped & interested in either of the 2 shows/eating TS in those parks). The rest are still best to book as early as possible for more variety in available times (lol, I don't know many who would purposely eat dinner @ 9:50p). Of course 180 is still far away and plans might end up changing on you later. But, early bird gets the worm and you'd at least be all set with your top rated choices and most preferred time slots.

None really for us. We eat mainly at the Swan and Dolphin restaurants and the WDW lounges for the most part but BOG and CRT are really the only ones I've never really seen open when we have checked MDE during our trips.

PPO breakfasts (although they sometimes change park hours so then by PPO is no longer a PPO!), BOG, and all our Christmas eve/day meals as it's the busiest time of the year. We've been to Beaches and Cream once but haven't been able to get one at our preferred time since.

We book all of our planned TS meals 180 days in advance, just to be safe. I just made ours a week ago and the hardest one is Hollywood & Vine breakfast - it was the only one I couldn't get. Beaches & Cream is a hard one, but I had no problem getting an ADR for 6 ppl at the time we wanted. Garden Grill for dinner can be difficult, but we had no problem getting that one either.

So if people are making several reservations for dinner at several parks as a previous poster said that would definitely cause restaurants to fill up quickly.

Yes, it would. There are safeguards in the ADR system to try to prevent this, but some people work around those safeguards. At least now with the cancellation fee, most people will pare down and cancel reservations as they get closer to their trips. The practice of booking multiple ADRs for the same meal is highly frowned upon here and I'm surprised fellow DISers have not yet broken out the tar and feathers for the poster who admitted doing this.

You would think the system would only allow three meals per family per day. Maybe that's something that can be fixed.

I just booked every ADR that my sister and I wanted a few days ago (at 180 days out). CRT, BOG, Tusker House, Crystal Palace, and Sci-Fi :earsboy:

Be our Guest and the California Grill. Those are the two I try and book first. But I schedule everything at 180 days out if I can. This trip it includes those 2 plus the Kona Cafe, La Hacinenda, the Liberty Tree Tavern, and the 50's Prime Time.

We've made a few changes to ours since we booked them 180 days out. The only ones I have not been able to change are BOG, T-Rex and Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package. The others - Sanaa, Beaches and Cream, Whispering Canyon, San Angel Inn, Chef Mickeys (breakfast), YaknYeti, The Boathouse, Plaza Inn, Trails End - have been easy to change around at approximately 3-4 months out.

Hello

Which restaurants are the hardest to get, so you request at 180 days out? I usually don't do table service, but want to try a few this next trip with my Newbies. Thought of BOG, maybe somewhere in Epcot, Whispering Canyon at our resort.

Thanks

Actually, we almost never make plans to go to WDW until about 3 mos. out. Then I make our 'must do' ressies and never have a problem. Sometimes I've had to watch for our time slot a few days, but that's been our experience. And, yes, we have BOG and 'Ohana.

Just know that if you can't get your original pick, there is something similar and just as fabulous elsewhere. Don't get caught up in the frenzy of picking certain restaurants that will "make or break" your dining experience. Plenty of great places at WDW! You might find yourself at a spot you didn't think of at first, but end up with a lovely meal.

We always book Ohana, Be Our Guest, and Cinderella's Royal Table at 180 days out, if wanting to eat there on our trip.

I would like to add that the new Bon Voyage breakfast at Boardwalk Trattoria Al forno is now already a very difficult ADR to land...so if your kiddos want that one I would book it at 180 days out. Have a wonderful trip!
