Which ADR’s Require 6 Months Advance?

In a few weeks I will be approaching my 6 month window to make dining ADR’s for my mid-January trip. I’m just wondering which ADR’s will require 6 months to get? Is BOG dinner still one? Here are the ones I’d like to get that I wasn’t able to get on our last trip: BOG dinner, Cape May Cafe character breakfast, Beaches & Cream lunch, and possibly CRT dinner (although we already did breakfast on our last trip and I’m not sure dinner is worth it?).

BOG will be changing to a signature restaurant for dinner. However, I think it will still be the hard one to get.

i think it depends somewhat on your group & what times you are looking for. We are a party of 2 & I often have to make an ADR for 3 to get a decent time at Tutto Italia, for example. Beaches & Cream is pretty popular & very small, so that one is sometimes hard to get. I’d definitely make that one at 180 if you can. I have seen several people posting about having trouble getting Sci Fi lately too. We got a Cape May breakfast a few weeks before our April trip, but again, we are only a party of 2. Don’t know how easy it would be with a bigger group.

BoG PPO breakfast and lunch go pretty quickly.
I would like to change our lunch time for 8/31 (which I got right at 180 days), but so far have not been able to.

Signature at dinner only. Breakfast & lunch will remain the same. I know the OP asked about the dinner, but I just thought I’d clarify for anyone reading.

I really wanted to try BOG for dinner, but I’m not sure we want to use 2 dining credits. We enjoyed breakfast there and I may just do that again.

Beaches and Cream for sure since it's so small.

BOG absolutely. CRT too, though dinner may be slightly easier to get.

I tell everyone the same thing. Book everything at 180 days out. I know many people overbook and cancel a few days before but book and your safe. The 1st thing I do every trip is book Ohana for 2 different nights (we really like the place). Then I book signature dining in particular places like California Grill and Jiko.

Unless you're very flexible on when you want to eat almost all restaurants need to be booked as early as possible. Some restaurants always have same day availability but only at a few times that may or maynot work for your schedule.

BOG, Ohana, CRT, Beaches, Coral Reef are the hardest for us to get at any time unless we book 180 out.

Historically, the hardest ressies to get and require 6-months advanced ressies are:

BOG, 'Ohana, Le Cellier, Monsieur Paul, Narcoossee's, Jiko, Victoria & Albert's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Citricos, Artist Point, the dinner shows, California Grill

I would go ahead and book them if you want but just for the record I have booked - Monsieur Paul, Jikos, Cirtricos and California Grill in the afternoon for that evening, booked V&A's two weeks in advance and also the Aloha dinner show. I'm not saying you should wait if your vacation is going to be ruined if you don't get those but it is entirely possible to book same day or even a couple of weeks in advance for most places.

BOG dinner, Cape May Cafe character breakfast, Beaches & Cream lunch, and possibly CRT dinner
The definite ones to book at 6am on your 180 day mark would be BOG and CRT. The only other thing is -- if you have to have a particular time for a reservation -- say 8am Cape may so that you can hit the park for opening -- then book as soon as you can otherwise you might be left with later times that might mess up your park plans.

I honestly would not wait to book anything. When prioritizing your list then you would want to book your CRT and BOG and plan for days later in your trip.

If you wait to book then you might be left with nothing or you might only have a 10pm CRT to choose. People cancel all the time but there is no telling what you might get. So better safe than sorry.

There are many ADRs that are always difficult to get and then there ar those that are busy at the popular times, but available at off times.
Of the ones you listed, BOG dinner, Beaches & Cream lunch, and possibly CRT dinner will be busy and you should get ADRs as soon as you can.
Ultimately, if we know of a restaurant that we want to dine at, we will book ADRs just so we are set. You can always change later if needed.
