So, in July I will be traveling to WDW with my parents (mid 40's) and my two younger brothers (19 and 15). We will have 6 "park days" on our trip. The plan is MK for 2 days, MGM 1 day. With the remaining 3 days we want to hit 4 more parks: Epcot, AK, US and IoA. Now my question is: What 2 parks sould we do in one day? Epcot & AK or US & IoA? None of us have been to AK before, but our purpose will be rides only, not animals this time around. We have all been to Epcot. I have been to US and IoA but both of these parks will be new to everyone else in the family. Anyone have any advice? I appeciate it! :sunny:

What I have done in the past is do to AK and MGM on the same day. For me, I have to give EPCOT a full day, if not more. Plus, MGM is a lot closer to AK so you would be doing less driving and get there faster. You could possibly do both Universal parks in the same day. I am not much of a water ride person and a lot of what is at IoA is water rides. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy both of the coasters, SpiderMan, Dr. Seuss' ride, and a couple of the shows but for me, I can get through what I want to do in a half day.

I agree with bubba that Epcot is a full day, no question. For your crew, I'd recommend a different breakdown:

MK: 1 1/2 days
Epcot: two 1/2 days (mid-afternoon into evening)
D-MGM: 1 day
AK: one morning through mid-afternoon
US/IoA: 1 day

That leaves you one extra day -- I'd either split US and IoA into one day each, or spend another half-day at Epcot and another half-day at either MK or D-MGM.

I agree with Bubba. Epcot definitely needs a full day, gotta do all the cool stuff in there (don't forget to build your Robot!!).

Where are you staying? If you are staying on property then you can do IOA and US in one day. I would do MGM and AK in one day as well. Have fun.

No, we are staying off property at Summer Bay this time.

Thanks all for the advice. Maybe it is best to do AK and MGM in 1 day. Or maybe we'll just wing it. Does anyone know how park hopping and paying for parking all goes? Thanks!

With Disney it you only pay for parking once a day no matter how many parks you hop to.

Park hopping is a set fee ($40) for you entire pass, regardless of how many days are on your pass.

As you can well imagine, Disney wants you to spend the entire time at their parks. So the price for tickets will be about $237 for four days, but only $238 for six days -- just two dollars more. (Those prices are assuming park hopping.)

I agree with the suggestion to split your visit to Epcot into a couple of half-days instead of one long day. Try going to the Studio in the morning, spend a couple of hours at your hotel pool, then Epcot from mid-afternoon to closing. On the second day, substitute AK for the Studio in the morning.
