Do the resorts still take fax requests for room locations? I know these are just requests, but we have a Pool View - so any recommendations?

DVC resorts do not take faxes. You should call member services with your request. I would request close to elevator and high floor.

If you don't mind a longer walk from the elevators, consider asking to overlook the leisure pool and facing DHS. You might be able to see some of the fireworks from Fantasmic! and the new Star Wars fireworks.

You could also ask for a corner unit. Those usually have more windows (more natural light)
