On another board, I posted a little vent about two incidents at USF that annoyed me. We have premier pass FOTL after 4 p.m., and twice in one day at USF we ran into people cheating the system. The first was a woman & family who had no pass whatsoever and who yelled at the worker that it was HIS fault because their passes were in the locker and she was forced to use a locker and there was no way she was going back to it...on and on till he let her through (this was 6 p.m., so no way did she just discover that she had to put her junk in a locker). The other was 15 mins. later...a family with a used up Express Pass, but they were let through anyway (I suspect they'd been milking it all day). A worker posted a rather snarky response implying that I am a bad person for resenting "nice" things being done for others just because I paid for a premier. Uh yeah....if I had realized I could just be demanding or milk a $20-something pass all day, I wouldn't have popped nearly $300. Guess I'm just a snotty p*******. If that person's attitude is reflective of the attitude at USF/IOA in general, I supposed I'd better get used to the "cheating"...uh, "niceness."

Well damn for the life of me I cant figure out all those *******! For the record I cant stand seeing the people that try and get on the express line knowing they shouldnt be there.

When I worked there, I was an "Express Nazi" or, when at ROTM, I was also a "Bag Nazi". Basically, that meant I would often be tough to get by.

Your pass is stuck in a locker? Go back to your locker and get it. No pass = no express.

No bags. "This isn't a bag, it's a purse!" If you can put stuff in it, it's a bag. Lockers.

etc

... what's the point of this thread again? Oh, right. Express abuse...

Annoying guests pull the same stuff at Disney. All the time. One of the flaws of a fastpass/express system. You'll have to get used to it.

We were there last week, stayed at Portofino Bay. Other than Friday, the parks were not crowded. I was surprised at how little attention was paid at the express lines. We would show our cards and they barely looked at them. I think on only one or two rides the person at the end of the line asked to see them again. It would have been very easy for people to crossover into the express line. Maybe since the lines weren't that long they just didn't care. But even when we went back for the Mardi Gras parade, and the Mummy line said 40 minutes, they still just glanced at our cards.

On MIB we had some kids go under the bar so they didn't have to walk all the way around and they got right in front of us. It was just annoying, because there was no wait for the ride.

We had a great time, and the Mardi Gras parade was awesome.

I think the system works fine.

Sure there are loopholes, and people can get away with a "sneak in" every now and then.

But eventually it will catch up to them and they'll be busted in front of friends.

The "system" traps these people sooner or later.

The main thing is I don't let it ruin my trip. Just ignore them. So what, some people cheated the system. Big deal. Move on and enjoy your ride.

Once you get in your seat, you should concentrate on the ride, and remember that.

Don't remember the jerks, remember the good stuff.

There are always bumps along the way in any vacation.

I think that would annoy anyone who stayed onsite for that privledge or anyone who purchased the pass.....Might have annoyed me......but, who knows?? I just might be having a better time enjoying myself knowing I'm in EP lane legit...instead of thinking up ways to "con" the system. To that lady who left her pass in the locker....I woulda said..."you're just figuring out NOW that you need to keep your pass on you at ALL times??? Didja just get here?"

I understand what you are saying. We were staying at the RPR one time and went to ride Spidey. We had our hotel cards out to flash the Express attendant. A mom, a grandmom, and a daughter butted in front of us ... with their APs. :confused3 Yes, that's right, they had the regular APs and they were trying to use it for Express. (We have APs too, and they were the same as ours, plus it was early afternoon so even if they were the "God Pass," they would not have been valid for Express at that time). The Express attendant asked if they had anything else because the APs weren't valid for Express, and the mother pointed at her daughter and said, "Well, it's her birthday, and I have this." "This," BTW, was the list of benefits that you get with an AP. The attendant got tired of arguing, and let all 3 of them in the Express Entrance.

Who, by reading the list of AP benefits, would think that you were entitled to Express ... on your birthday or not?! The parks weren't too busy that day, but we were ticked that one, these people chose to bicker and negotiate for several minutes with the Express attendant and hold us up, and two that when we went through the queue that the Express queue was actually longer than the regular queue, and then of course we wondered how many people were actually in the express line legitimately. On that day, there was no second attendant checking Express passes/hotel keys so it was hard to tell.

Whether annoying guests abuse the system at Disney or Universal, it still doesn't make it right. I wish that CMs and TMs would be more uniformly vigilant in checking for valid express passes and valid hotel keys. I would love for them to ask for IDs whenever adults show a hotel key so that their ID had to match the name on the key card. I mean, we've heard from posters who blatantly announce on this board that they're going to cheat the sytem by passing hotel keys back and forth. :headache:

While I definitely don't let it ruin my day (how can it, when I've just managed to ride Mummy 8 times in one night?), I find it distasteful to see just how bold the cheaters are, especially when they are holding me up as they argue with the TM. But hubby actually saw some FP abuse at WDW today (surprising...I never saw it before...they are usually very strict). He was at AK (I was off riding my horse so he went solo), and dad and three kids go to the FP entrance with three FPs for the four of them. He tells the CM, "I'm not riding, but I have to go in the line with them." CM waves them on. They get to the ride, and of course dad rides. But the weird thing is, how did they only end up with three FPs?!?!?!
